Once upon a time, Stalin's Purge and Hitler's SS commandos and Night of the Long Knifes, for example, were the source of much American arrogance, and spite. This sense of superiority resulted in much complacence, and they became increasingly cocky, uneducated, and bigoted... 

And then, a deeply amoral, cruel, greedy, deadly Felon Rapist TV reality populist yazi jerk rigged the elections, and started methodically implementing the grift of the century, aka #project2025 , wiping his ass with the constitution, and rejoicing in the victory of lies and violence as a new default modus operandi. He did not care to govern, only to ruin things and control people, for undisclosed, shallow, sociopathic reasons--beside hubris and greed. He succeeded in less than 6 months, he destroyed Democracy, Constitution and Environment included, and started the duck purge with MASS DEPORTATIONS. 

But this was just a warm up... he couldn't wait to get to the better part, i.e. MASS INCARCERATIONS! How such an idiotic prick could run the grift of the century, I'll never understand, but he sure is, with no opposition. The general apathy or complicity of the majority have been just as heartbreaking, to be fair... What I do know tho, is everyone's freedom and safety are now at great risk, FOR REAL--THIS IS NOT A DRILL-- and I personally am too sensitive, and have too much integrity, empathy, and familiarity with his type of personality to hope I may be able to adapt, and survive... And so, I say, IF YOU CAN, NOW, RUN!!

You know it when you see it, its flow,

It captures the texture of human experiences

It's Pride month, with a capital P. And truth be told, as queer and principled as I might be, loud and proud was never my thing. My opinions are often strong but also very open, and my personality, my authenticity may look loud & proud to some, but it isn't. My faith is just fiercely curious, conscious, conscientious, and shamelessly vulnerable--brave but not proud, bright but definitely not always right, ha. Plus, to me, it is people who are most humble and sensitive who seem most sensible, who tend to shine the most beautiful, poetic, warm, safe, true, magical light; especially in a world where (alleged) winners are just as loud and proud and fools of shite as they are fake, selfish, and shallow (sigh)... This is what this song is about, my longing for more humble compassion and simple, genuine connections.

… because life on earth is a Psychedelic Cabaret, and “music is the only religion that delivers the goods” (like Frank said). 

To be clear, all I really know is I dunno shit about fck (like Socrates said:)—music and songwriting included. But(t) I feel it, the music, so damn deeep in my soul! I’m just a humble existential fool, a silly banana who likes to play and share, to question and learn. Words are my oldest best friends, hearing myself sing is a freaking miracle (trust me on that lol), and I believe curiosity and #gratitude are the keys to happiness… So voilà, there’s that.

Also, (if you’re curious) BananaSutra is not just a made up BS brand kinda word, it’s actually the name of my DIY Bible—a collection of songs telling true stories of faith, to help me (and perhaps you) make sense of a world gone wild, like bananas gone foul in shallow ignorance and deadly malevolence… Think of it as an agnostic testament of sorts, an audio book of songs with quirky lyrics about things that matter, like the definition of right and wrong, and the meaning of truth, joy, justice, peace, grace, and awe 🕊️

Some call it Artificial Intelligence, but(t) I call Authentic Imagination, Alternative Ideas, Augmented Innuendos, Abstract Illogisms… hopefully, you get the gist?
