Adé Bantu auf neuer Single von Banda Comunale
"Too Blind" ist eine so organische Kollaboration von zwei Musik-Acts, die sich so natürlich anhört, dass man sich eigentlich fragt, warum die noch nie was zusammen gemacht haben. Banda Comunale, eine vierzehn Mann starke Global Pop Blechbläser Band aus Dresden. Und Adé Bantu, Afrofunk Sänger und Rapper mit deutsch-nigerianischen Roots. Von Adé Bantu stammt auch der gesellschaftskritische Text.

 "'Too Blind' thematisiert die Gleichgültigkeit der Regierung und der Bürger Westeuropas gegenüber dem Rest der Welt, insbesondere den Tausenden Flüchtlingen und Vertriebenen, die sich jeden Tag auf die gefährliche Reise nach Europa machen." Bei der Kritik bezieht Adé Bantu auch ausdrücklich sich selbst mit ein. "Too Blind" ist die erste Single des neuen Albums von Banda Comunale, sie erscheint heute, das Album  "Klein ist die Welt" am 17.September. Darauf hat jeder Track einen Feature-Gast, z.B. Indie-Künstlerin Bernadette La Hengst, Musiker aus dem Umfeld von Banda Comunale oder Global Pop Künstler aus der arabischen Welt und Westafrika und auch aus der Ukraine. Der Albumtitel "Klein ist die Welt" ist also Programm, sagt Michal von Banda Comunale. "Gemeinsam sind trotz teilweise kontinentaler Distanzen Stücke und Arrangements entstanden, die, wie ich finde, eine für Musik aber auch für jede andere künstlerische Form notwendige Weltoffenheit und Grenzen überwindende Zusammenarbeit widerspiegeln."

Comunale goes Internationale

After staging more than 40 concerts against PEGIDA, against “No-to-Homes” initiatives and on behalf of refugees in the first admission centers in Dresden and the surrounding area, we decided to go a step further; in 2015, we started the project “Banda Internationale” with refugees from our city, and we are carrying on this year as a regular band.

In cooperation with professional and amateur musicians from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Palestine and Burkina Faso, "Banda Internationale" has produced a programme combining music from the countries of origin of all involved, from Syrian pop songs, to traditional pieces from Lebanon and metal vibes from Iran. 

With music we hope to enhance our and our fellow citizen’s commitment to helping refugees transition to life in Germany. We want to demonstrate the positive effects of migration and how it can enrich and enhance the lives of those already living here. By doing this we hope to reduce and ease the fear of those arriving, to help them dance into life here rather than walk!
