Vertigo Records is back with a special Christmas gift to all faithful fans of our label and, we hope, to all new followers too. We've put together a free digital EP that consists of exclusive remixes and previously unreleased versions of some of the greatest tunes of the last two decades. Firstly we have the 2nd part of ‘In The Hands of the Shaman’ by the legendary Trold, the first part of which features on their last album ‘Time for Solution’ released on Vertigo earlier this year; then Samadhi comes with a powerfully crunchy remix of the absolute Goa Trance classic ‘Teleport’ by Man With No Name; Finnish duo Rye Smugglers drop their revision of Donna Summer's groundbreaking disco anthem ‘I feel Love’ and last but not least we have Nebula Meltdown with an amazing remix of ‘It’s Just a Ride’, the marvellous Voice of Cod's most popular tune.

In Focus this time is RAZIEL with a set recorded specially for radiOzora with different collaborations and different types of GOA Trance. Born and raised in Tel-Aviv Israel, he got exposed to music at a very young age and it was a big part of Raz's childhood but at the age of 14, he started to explore the world of Electronic Music and soon after began making compositions of his own. He then started to perform in parties in the Israeli Trance Scene and very quickly became well known in the scene. Currently, Raz is working on new materials, Goa, Psytrance and also Psy Ambient Music.

This is the set I played on january 24th 2016 at "Amanita Muscaria & Tricky: The Flight of the Sacred Rhino" at 6 am, after a live set by Darshan and before the closing set by dj Anoebis.
I tried to create a story by building up from Flying Rhino style psychedelica to morning melodies. It was mixed on 2 x CDJ1000 and a DJM800. I hope you like it.

Legendary goa trance label, Matsuri Records’ reincarnation, MATSURI DIGITAL’s series kicks off with Japanese duo JIKOOHA.

Jikooha is Japanese word, which means “the wave of time and space”.
Tokyo-based trance duo Jikooha comprises of two Japanese, Jun and Shimodi, who played in a punk and new wave influenced alternative rock band in early ’90s. In 1996, they found the sound of Goa Trance that led them to form Jikooha in 1997 and started to produce their own trance tracks.
While remained committed to their unique mixture of goa trance and punk rock influence, Jikooha’s eclectic and unique sound shows their love of all music. They use many analog gears like Arp Odyssey, Roland Juno-106, TB-303, SH-101, Korg MS-20, etc. and sometimes they are experimental when making their unique goa tunes; the process they believe is their search for spiritual journey.
Jikooha has been playing their gigs at many parties from 1999 and has released many tracks for various compilations with much good feedbacks. In 2003 they released the 1st album “New Breed” on Tod Aquarium Records in Japan, later then the 2nd album “Shamanarchy” on Panorama Records in 2006. Two years later, their tracks were getting more melodic and acidic, the 3rd album “Revolution Spaceship” was released on Panorama Records again. They also released the 4th album “Sirius Rising” in 2012.
After 5 years from the previous album, finally they released their 5th album from a legendary label Matsuri Digital.The album is including very hypnotic and acidic 9 tracks with their attitude. This musical journey appears the trust for freedom, mind expansion, and whole one harmonious universe. You can feel and dance to these deep shamanic sounds. So now, open your mind and decode reality!

Bandagor is Jelle De Coene, a belgian Goa-Trance and downtempo dj. He attended his first goa party in the late nineties. He was immediately fascinated by the music and the atmosphere. He kept going to the parties and listening to the music, but it was only around 2011 he passionately started collecting all this fantastic music. Three years later things gained momentum, when he figured it would be nice to be able to mix the cd’s from his collection and create his own stories with them. So he bought his dj gear and started practicing. Only a few months later, he organized his first goa trance party, Lunar Sunrise. At that party he played his first set in front of an audience, and he’s hooked ever since. In 2015 Bandagor joined Goa Madness Records.
He likes to take the dancefloor on melody infested journeys, spiced with acid lines and psychedelica. He plays both nineties oldschool and modern goa trance, with a predilection for captivating melodies. He also plays an entrancing downtempo/chill-out set from time to time. Hopefully one day he can guide you on a musical journey too.
