Grunge is dead.  Long live grunge.

Borne from the collective consciousness of producer-guitarist Jon Dix and vocalist Beck Goldsmith, Flourishes deliver a riff-laden Behemoth of fuzzy, dreamy grunge pop. 

 Having originally met in Nottingham, the duo developed their stylings through collaboration for film, TV and video games.  Their mutual love of textured distortion and all things Sub Pop led them to experiment with angsty throwback tracks that demanded a full band line up.  They enlisted the talents of Chris Seddon (guitars/bass) and Aaron Doyle (drums), and Flourishes emerged from the artsy fringes of Hackney Wick, East London.

Nostalgic crunch and swirls of layered guitars form the backbone of the music, but the band take their name from the ‘wonky flourishes’ that define their sound. Trembling instrumentation, noisy embellishments and folky vocal inflections give an offbeat edge that adds intrigue and depth.  Now armed with an artillery of laid back slacker tracks, shoegaze infusions and glistening epics, Flourishes are poised to flutter and wow with their lush walls of sound bathed in shimmering light.
