Long Time Traveller

Celtic Connections 2013 Danny Kyle Open Stage award winners Gria are; singer Ceitlin L R Smith, Gemma Telfer on accordion, Louise Bichan on fiddle, Lana Elaine on piano and accordion.

Hailing from Shetland, Orkney, Lewis and Northumberland this brand new, Glasgow-based folk group "Gria" form a fantastic cultural mix. Combining traditional, contemporary and self-penned tunes, Gaelic song and songs from the rest of the UK and beyond, with haunting harmonies and weaving melody lines, Gria create an exciting and unique sound.

Lana, Ceitlin and Gemma are students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formally the RSAMD) and Louise is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, now working as a musician and photographer. All four girls are well rounded performers with a wealth of experience and achievements between them.
