Started during studio sessions in Los Angeles in 2014, by foster and production team The HitList, this record was written and produced over the next two years by foster, guitarist James Strazza, mixing engineer Jay Hu and mixing/mastering engineer Craig Combs. The song features elements of lo-fi indie rock with soulful guitars and smoked out, boozy vocals, mixed with the bouncing bassline and hard, boom-bap drums evoking hip-hop vibes. The lyrics are blurred and fragmented scenes in a film capturing desire, guilt, loneliness and addiction. 'Think Me A Fool' is a shift back to raw, emotional songwriting and gritty blues rock sounds for an audience with a craving for slick beats and vivid raps.

After a lengthy production process in the creation of our EP, "Further," we were approaching 2 years since the release of our first single, "Think Me A Fool."
While the band has created a small buzz, based on the signature blend of blues, hip-hop and rock, our live audience and social media following were anticipating a full release.

We put together a collection of studio recordings; singles & B-sides from our vault and live show to share with our fans. Every song is an original composition (music by Mike C/lyrics by Foster); performed by the band in real-time; live takes, no punches.
Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Foster, this is a truly DIY, independent body of work. We're also very pleased to present an appearance by Detroit veteran, Royce Da 5'9" on a track titled, "Live As It Gets."

20th Century Eclipse

Less than three months after the release of their surprise debut EP, La Honda, Foster & The Pranksters are back with the hard-hitting, psychedelic trip, THE ACID TEST. Over the course of this 4-track offering, the band explores new styles, expanding on the alternative rock/hip-hop blend they've been credited with helping to pioneer. 
The 10-minute project is concise and sharp, smoothly transitioning between spaced-out, melodic grooves and high-caliber lyricism. Foster & The Pranksters continue to defy conventions and leave their audience wondering where they'll take their sound next, but for now, the only question left is: 

"Can you pass the acid test?"
