“Under Downin” and above the covers a line of young-folk, fiercely drunk, excited and uncertain about the upcoming events of their long and hazy night appears to the trained eye of a 3rd person spectator. Inside, only two protagonists enjoy a preliminary calm, playing each other their favorite tunes, relaxing before the events of the night unfold. An organ-bass-heavy slow wave of air fills the empty halls, slithering hihats, a damped clap and a grossly distorted vocoder-esque voice is calling out your name. Shuffle your shoes and fasten your trousers … or not. Its fast its loose its heavy its smooth, because its still “Klapp Downin”! Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music continues a strong summer season by welcoming Messier and EZEK to the label for their debut single. Hailing from the USA and Brazil respectively, both Messier and EZEK are well established in their solo careers. A combined discography boasts releases via Awen Tales, Beatfreak, Freegrant, Steyoyoke, Univack and more. The duo's astral sounds have also found favour with a broad selection of the underground’s tastemakers in Danny Tenaglia, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Nicole Moudaber and more. Having previously collaborated on a track for Beatfreak’s Elements 05 collection, Messier and EZEK join forces once again, making their Eat My Hat debut with ‘All I Need’, alongside a remix from Ziger. 

Aimed squarely at a peak hour dance floor, ‘All I Need’ marries trance-inducing rhythms and striking percussion with punchy beats and rolling grooves. An array of squelchy stabs and devilish effects steals the air across the first act, sweeping in and out of the stereo-field, as vocal overlays create intrigue leading into the break. Looking to bring greater emotional depth across the interlude, a primary melodic theme rises, bringing with it prophetic vibes and warm chord changes, before a well-crafted build and buzzing effects spark a devilish drop and charged finale.

The lone interpretation of 'All I Need’ is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The veteran Greek artist had a memorable 2022 which was highlighted by projects for ICONYC, iNu, SLC-6 Music and of course Eat My Hat. 2023 has seen the Athens resident be choosy in his projects, with a lone remix of Axel Giova’s ‘Crescendo’ landing in March to a warm reception. Now, presenting just his second production of the year, Ziger overhauls ‘All I Need’ in epic fashion. While maintaining the electric spirit of the original, the veteran artist crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a fiery journey where thunderous grooves meet siren-like wails and panoramic effects for the ultimate dance floor assault. A festival style break sits at the heart of the journey, as charming atmospheres and cosmic spirals give way to glowing vocal motifs and buzzing siren-like wails, onwards to a finale where euphoria awaits with arms raised and eyes closed.

“Deeper electronic music with a melodic touch”. That’s how Portto describes his works. Never afraid of different sounds in his most present work, trying to combine inspiration from a more psychedelic and deep perspective into house music. Having grown up in his family eclectic combination of Brazilian music, electronic and synth-based 80s music… all which became infused with his own love for both lo-fi and European electronic music, Portto ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influence. The love for music goes beyond the spectrum of mixing tunes, it is the passion for music and creation which makes a good difference for his work. Today, this translates into his music and dj sets where he picks apart and mixes together all the pieces of his different influences in music and life, always trying to connect people together through music.

Following the well received release of Around Us' debut album 'Reaching Home' earlier this year, we now present the first set of remixes featuring fresh interpretations by Rokazer and KAMADEV.

Rokazer makes his return on Manual Music after the release of his song 'Naos' nearly three years ago. A lot has happened since then as he's now became a household name on labels such as Colorize, UV and Mango Alley to name a few. He flips 'Promises' into a euphoric piece of melodic progressive house music. Peak time material!

No stranger to Manual Music and its various sister labels is Miami based KAMADEV. For his rework of 'Homecoming' he decided to turn it into a deep and intelligent broken beats version. We all love a bit of progressive breaks here at Manual and are super excited from the moment he delivered this one. Truly a special version!
