James Corsini, is an Italian progressive and melodic techno producer, born in Chelsea, England, in 2002. Growing up with a passion for music, James quickly developed a knack for playing the piano, drums, and guitar.
At the age of 17, James began to explore electronic music production, and soon found himself immersed in the world of progressive and melodic techno. Throughout the years at PointBlank, he spent every free moment honing his production skills, and experimenting with different sounds and techniques. James was especially drawn to the combination of progressive and melodic
elements as well as the power of atmospheric soundscapes.
Currently in his early twenties, James is planning on making a name for himself in the techno scene, releasing a series of singles and EPs that showcases his unique production style with a distinctive fusion of progressive and melodic techno tones. His tracks feature a variety of glitchy, robotic and digital sounding elements, as well as a deep, driving bass line and vocal samples. His unique usage of synth and sound design will provide the imaginative and surreal experience that listeners are seeking.

PREMIERE: Jeremy Da Silva - Into My Universe (Original Mix) [Faites Leur Des Disques]

The Columbian DJ, producer and musician made his debut back in 2008 with ‘Dare to Believe’ on D-Formation’s Beat Freak Recordings, and dare he did! Now signed to an enviable list of high profile imprints including Global Underground, UV and Anjunadeep he’s become one of the most consistent artists out there. Collaborations form a large part of his output; enoying the camaraderie and like-mindedness that working as a team brings to the creative process, long time partners Kamilo Sanclemente and Clubsonica boss Juan Pablo Torrez feature heavily.
Opening with a solo project, ‘Reverie’, Dabeat’s trademark sound is front and centre. Silky smooth and utterly infectious, the rolling percussive beat develops warm pads and far away arps. Dropping some spiky acid midway ups the ante. Later still, more melodics lift the mood alongside some stuttered vocals. Absolute mastery.
Next up, a collaborative effort with Kamilo that boasts latin flair in spades. Building slowly over the opening four minutes, spacey synths and a shuffling percussive underbelly combine magically. Deeply hypnotic, the groove quickly takes control and all you can do is find your space and dance the night away.

A decade-long contribution to electronic music behind the decks at local parties in Bonn has seen the the DJ and producer team, Apropos, develop a deep understanding of what makes music work in the club environment. Since their 2016 debut, the duo has gone on to feature on such esteemed imprints as Heinz Music, Planet E Communications, and an April 2024 release on behemoth, Rekids. Full of fizzing techno energy, "Engaged" drives relentlessly forward courtesy of a thumping kick and offbeat percussion. A rippling arpeggiated motif makes an appearance before an acetylene-torch lead cuts through the mix with force and a stuttered cadence. A stripped back midpoint sees the dominant kick sit alongside atmospheric pads and gated vox FX before the main melodic sequence erupts back into life to powerful effect.

PREMIERE: Costa Dedes - Emue (Radio Edit) [ThreeRecords]

Self Control Records unveil Ragnar Atari’s latest EP, “Sing”. Releasing Friday, October 18, 2024. Ragnar Atari has appeared previously on the label’s remix roster, the creative force behind a few notable remixes on the label has evolved his sound with this release by stepping into the role of vocalist for the first time. Based in Stockholm, Axel blends vocal Melodic Techno with Deep Progressive House, marking a significant departure from his previous more Acid Techno endeavours.
This transformation is encapsulated in “Sing” offering listeners a more profound and emotive track to connect to while retaining the signature elements of his earlier work, including the occasional resonant 303. The six-track EP features original mixes alongside a set of remixes from esteemed artists such as another label returnee Boyesen, label supremo Future Self, and new to the pack OTH. Notably, Boyesen’s remix of “Sing” stands out with its robust melodic lines while the production on the OTH. remix channels the banging Swedish compressor Techno of the late 90s in full force.
As always Future Self adds a unique touch, equipping the track with a sense of nuance you rarely hear nowadays. The collaborative spirit is further highlighted by the shared history between Ragnar Atari and Boyesen, both of whom previously remixed “Guess Again” earlier this year.
“Sing” is a showcase of Ragnar Atari’s flexibility as a producer and his ability to innovate and change things up when the time is right. As a whole this record is a great showcase of the vibrant community of producers Self Control Records is building.

With each rise and fall, each pulsating rhythm, Eirin portrays the emotional and ideological battle lines drawn in today's global political climate.

Nickon Faith is a 23 year old up and coming producer from Manchester. Nickon has had music play a driving force for most of his life, and took to production at around 2015, building up a repertoire of lush melodic techno and progressive deep house productions as his signature genre. However, also touching on a variety of influences from the likes of breakbeat and industrial techno. Nickon Faith has been honing his craft over the years and has started sculpting a distinct sound for himself as a producer that marries atmosphere, ambience and energy in the form of lush progressive soundscapes, breakbeats and dense acid basslines.
Nickon Faith is going to spread some of his work with the track 'Release Me', a great track full of power and to complement this huge track, Carlos Pires, Eleven of July and Zaria gave us three amazing remixes.
