The shift supervisor is still out and the night shift boys are not getting much work done as they play their accordions instead of greasing the machinery.  I hope their easy jobs are safe from any layoffs !

note:
I wanted an early 20th century factory kind of sound for this track.  I tried using an accordion bass but then I remembered Hank Tilbury' s ( @hanklebury ) recording of the real thing posted a while ago see:

I heard some of Greg Savin's tracks and thought it would be fun if he applied some of his modern audio processing techniques and added his "Uke Bass"  to an old klezmer tune played on my accordion.   Quite a change - and certainly more interesting than my rather plain starting track.

Added "uke bass" (uke sampled and pitch-lowered). Part 2, an increased tempo chorus with some some percussion pattern added (just grabbed a drum kit in my DAW with a simple beat pattern).

This tune is for 3 dulcimers tuned in DAD and it is in the baroque style. I used 3 different dulcimers for this recording: 26.5" VSL red cedar, 26.5" VSL poplar, and 24" VSL poplar.

Little is known about Tilbury, Greenwood & Burns, recorded on one of Mr. Lomax's last field recording trips through the wilds of Wayne, Pennsylvania. The previously released version of this (on FW19087)was reproduced from a seventh-generation wire recording made the original reel-to-reel played through a primitive loudspeaker, and the original tapes long rumored lost.
Recently however the Lomax Archives turned up that original tape recording. This digital-only release highlights Tilbury's powerful performance on vocal and what appears to be some sort of ukulele. What constitutes Mr. Burns's percussion ensemble remains lost to the mists of time, but we can hear evidence of great casual percussionists of the past like Washboard Sam and Theopolis Stokes. No one is quite sure what Greenwood is doing, but in the edited portions he appears to be ordering lunch.
