B2. Mathis Ruffing – Gaia

We walk together through the deserted room. Nothing here now but at its peak this was a hive; something for someone, nothing to no one. Funny how things can change, decay is everywhere but is no less shocking nonetheless.

The wind hisses, the surface dust dances, your vision blurs and skin prickles. The dubby sounds of DJ Swagger have taken over and inhabited this place, breathing through the walls they set forward a chain reaction of activity. Perhaps this place is palatable, no desireable after all.

The bird flew high through the city between the tall, towering buildings. It could not see the mess which lay down below amidst the streets for it was surrounded by the deep blue glow of the morning light and the mirrored reflections of the city skyscrapers which stood tall like monsterous dinosaurs atop the sprawling landscape. There was not a cloud in the sky today as the smacky dove left London for the last time. It would travel south above the sea to a place of warmth far, far away. 

Trinity Carbon continues the breakbeat and rave revival with a four track EP in what makes up the first Art-E-Fax release. This was our favourite cut from the new release which features beautiful strings and a rugged but steady beat.

The song "Matjesfilet" by ACUD (released as a free download in the summer of 2017) certainly caused a sensation. In this casual little anthem the berlin producer, lyricist and singer sings of his desire for fresh fillet of pickled herring (Matjes) and also his Nordic homeland. It is now, in order to salt the rest of the world, officially released as a remixed and remastered version.
