This alap or introduction to the raag was composed entirely by accident. I was tuning the drone to my flute and then realised that by tuning it to a different note I could create a totally different sound using the same notes. The notes used are all major notes and yet the sound is quite minor which I found really interesting. I don't even remember playing half the stuff in here which gives this track it's title.

From My Soul

This raag is Raag Charukeshi. It's a very poignant and romantic scale which always evokes strong emotions. With all the stuff I play I always have to visualise what I am playing. This time I had in my mind the idea of a young princess in olden times in India in her large palace standing on a balcony pining for a love she has never known but yet still wants. A bit different...

Majestical Heartbreak (1)

Please listen to the other track "From My Soul" before listening to this one as it sets the mood up for this one. The composition is set in 9 beats as I've started to really love the odd and usual beat. The scale is in E but the drone in the background is tuned to a different note entirely which gives it a subtle difference. I hope you enjoy it.

This is a song that I composed and wrote myself. All the beats, and so on is done with just my voice which is why it sounds a little raw and unfinished.
