i wanna get better @ piano so i dusted off my midi keyboard yesterday and have been makin cool stuff with it all weekend. i made this 2day. the first ~15 seconds and the remainder of the song i made at 2 separate times but they were both in the same day. i made the 1st part bc i wanted 2 try glitch stuff similar to holograd by dania shapes. i played a few notes on the piano for a lil bit and then recorded myself messing around w fragmental over it for another few minutes and then i chopped it up and tried to make a beat with it but i didn't like it so i jus left it 2 the side. the 2nd part i made w a bunch of surge xts. i made a cool droney chord progression and then over the course of sumn like 40 minutes i played a couple more synths over it and i think they sound rlly cool. i had 2 edit the patterns alittle bit bc i haven't played piano in forever and i suck and am stupid but who cares it sounds cool. i also recorded myself messing with fragmental in this part but i don't think i exported the song correctly bc i can't rlly hear the glitches X( it sounds cool tho still. it gets rlly loud @ 1:27 bc i added a layer to the drone and put a bunch of reverb and multiband compression on it to make it sound rlly grand and i also looped the carmen tag over and over again as an extra layer of noise. i also sampled drums frm my fav awfultop song for a transitional kinda thing. that song is so so sooo good i listened 2 it a shit ton in the wake of my friend ash's passing and iss still gettin me thru that shit lowk. i have a long way 2 go with this shit but i'm rlly proud of what i have rn for my first attempt at it using a midi keyboard. i'm gonna do this more often and drop it here i think that would be a cool way 2 use this account. if you read all of this thank you for reading and thank you for listening. new tape coming soon iss gonna sound rlly cool and way more experimental than my last 3 tapes i wanna drop it in the new year. i'm not gonna put out any songs 4 it yet tho bc bappy has her album coming soon and i want 2 let her do her thing b4 i lock back in and do my thing that might be glaze but WHATEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR idk i'm just thinking okay bye new music soon i promise <33 also thank you for 1k on split up & run i ain't think that song would do that well lmao alright bye fr this time :-1 - mabel
