Baptiste Castets is a drummer, pedagogue, composer, mixer and arranger. After jazz studies at the Conservatory of Bordeaux he obtained in 2014 the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien (DNSPM) at the Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne Billancourt 5(PSPBB) through training at the Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood (CMDL). He finished major of his promotion and be invited at the International Association of Schools of Jazz in South Africa and worked with Dave Liebman.

From studing in 2011, he studied with André Charlier, Ari Hoening, Stéphane Huchard, Franck Agulhon, Karl Jannuska, Antoine Paganoti, Henry Cole, Dave Liebman.

He started playing blues and soul music with great musician from the Bordeaux'area and developped a musical playing with clarity, groove and strong. After moving in Paris in 2015 he worked with groups and musicians such as Didier Lockwood, Stéphane Guillaume, Frédéric Borey, Antoine Galvani 6tet, Gustave Reichert 5tet, Manu and the Red Coffe, Mohamed Najem 4tet,  projects which all mix cultures and influences.
