Mila Stern’s far over a decade-long career as a DJ and producer has taken her from squat parties in Halle (eastern Germany), where she first learned her craft, through the pulsing motley of Tel Aviv, to her adopted home of Berlin and the epicenter of electronic club culture. Her calm, commanding skill as a selector rapidly made her a sought-after artist, with regular appearances at premier festivals like Fusion, Nation of Gondwana, and Garbicz, and residencies at Berlin’s legendary Kater Club and Station Endlos in Halle. Since then, she’s transcended the boundaries of the Berlin underground, bringing her signature style to the international circuit from Mexico to Kazakhstan. Mila delivers a groove-heavy aesthetic that has recently shifted toward deeper, more focused energies — drawing on restrained propulsion, textured sound design, and subtly evolving rhythms. Her selections now balance minimalism and intensity, rooted in the hypnotic but never stuck in genre constraints. What sets her apart is a willingness to embrace unorthodox sonic spaces, explore the beauty in harshness and dissonance, and embed arresting moments in robust, rolling substructures. From her early days, Mila’s sound has been shaped by a sense of counterculture and the urge to break normative boundaries. Her DJ sets — especially long-form closings — encapsulate a vision of rave culture as expressive, eclectic, and non-judgmental. She continues to draw on risqué, narrative-driven tracks and boldly carves out new territory without compromise — even as the context around her evolves. As a DJ, producer, event organizer, former radio host, and label co-founder, she pushes the envelope while rejecting genre dogma. In 2025, Mila co-founded the label MiZi MuZiK with long-time friend and collaborator Mira—a platform shaped by their shared values of autonomy and artistic integrity. While the label and Mila’s current musical direction follow distinct paths, both are rooted in a deep belief in sound that speaks for itself. Few artists balance deep floor energy with such artistic clarity. Mila Stern continues to evolve her sound while remaining grounded in a rave ethos that challenges paradigms and makes space for what lies ahead.

"I recorded this mix ahead of my set at Detect Classic Festival 2025, and it’s a good snapshot of where I’m at musically right now. It’s deep, hypnotic, groove-driven — somewhere between movement and atmosphere. Even though it’s a podcast, these are all tracks I’d absolutely play in a club or at a festival. They just have that extra layer that works in both contexts: headphones and dance floors. Artists like Donato Dozzy, Maōh, Inox Traxx, Blazej Malinowski, Rene Wise... — stuff that builds tension, holds a pulse, and doesn’t rush to get anywhere too fast. From Tradition to Innovation. Honoring the Past and Shaping the Future. Bridging the classic and the contemporary in electronic music, which renews itself with each passing day. This is how one might describe the journey and career of Curitiba-born DJ and producer Fernando Guimarães, better known as NeoClassic.

By day, in a suit and tie, he serves as a councilman and president of the Paraná State Audit Court; in his spare time and at night, he becomes a true alchemist and active force in electronic music—whether producing in his home studio or commanding dancefloors with his signature transcendental sound. Age or stereotypes mean nothing to NeoClassic, who, at 67 years old, remains as curious, adventurous, and creative as ever.

NeoClassic views life and music as a mystical journey of self-discovery and freedom. This philosophy is reflected in his hobbies—motorcycling, aquascaping, diving, and photography—and especially in his musical identity, which delves into the sonorities of organic, progressive, and Afro house, as well as deep house, melodic house, and melodic techno.

His primary mission as NeoClassic in the electronic music universe is to explore musical richness and diversity, investigate distinct rhythms and genres, and introduce to the contemporary electronic music scene the influences that have shaped—and continue to inspire—the project. Neo commits himself far beyond mere sound experimentation, crafting a unique musical experience where every beat, timbre, and note intertwines to create an intense and innovative journey.

As a DJ, NeoClassic has stamped his presence at major clubs and events in Brazil’s electronic circuit, including Warung Beach Club, Terraza Music Park, Club Vibe, Danghai Club, Teatro Mars, and Cave Club. He also marked his third consecutive appearance at the 2024 New Year’s Eve celebration of Universo Paralello, one of the country’s most renowned electronic music festivals. He has shared the booth and delivered sets alongside artists like Giorgia Angiulli, Township Rebellion, Shai T, Facundo Mohrr, D-Nox, Massano, Binaryh, and Zac.

As a producer, he boasts significant releases on labels such as Cactune Records and Warung Records. In 2024, he dropped his first two original EPs: Call Of The Deep via Mistica Sounds and Inner Storm, which not only marked his debut EP but also the inaugural release of his own label, Cura Records, officially launched in November 2024.

Alongside fellow Curitiba DJ and producer Masaaki, Neo embarked on this new venture with Cura Records, a label that distinguishes itself by championing creative freedom and artistic originality. It serves as an inclusive, innovative platform for the creation and distribution of electronic music, rooted in introspection, emotion, and sonic depth. The label explores a rich palette of styles—Afro House, Progressive House, Organic House, Melodic House, and Techno—with the aim of forging emotional connections with audiences, transcending mere entertainment.

The label’s foundation stems from a journey that prioritizes unique artistic identity and creative autonomy. In other words, Cura Records seeks to promote self-awareness and healing through music.

Beyond his work as a DJ, producer, and label manager, NeoClassic is an active member of the DJ/producer academies Fluxo and Warung School, sharing his knowledge, experience, and story with new students seeking to find their own path in music—much like he continues to do daily.

The name and purpose of NeoClassic emerged from merging classical and modern influences, akin to the neoclassical movement. True to its inspiration, NeoClassic breaks paradigms, redefines preestablished rules, and reshapes existing norms. In his mystical journey through music, NeoClassic dives in headfirst—always.

The uniqueness of what Far&High project does can be described as follows: imagine a track that Solomun, Fisher, Vintage Culture, Dom Dolla, Tale of Us, Blond:ish, Nick Warren, Super Flu can play in their sets. It sounds unrealistic, but Far&High made a track like this. Emerging on the global electronic scene in late 2019, the Far&High project has made a big impact on today's Indie Dance scene from its first tracks. Solomun not only released the project's first release on his label Diynamic, but also named them subsequently as one of the most important electronic projects of their country. All of the tracks released by Far&High made it to the Beatport top-100, which allowed the project to hit the Best Sellers category 4 years in a row starting in 2020. The lead track from their first release on Diynamic, Alone, stayed in the top for over two years in a row. In late 2022, Far&High releases their track, Sans Vetements, which instantly climbs to the very top of Beatport and remains at the top even in 2024. The lead track from their second release on Diynamic Mannequin stayed in the chart for over 210 days, while their collab track with Brigado Crew - 7 - for the album on the Stil Vor Talent label - stayed at the top for over 320 consecutive days. Each of their tracks is a new challenge and a desire to show a slightly different sound, different from what has been done before, while keeping the recognizable imprint of the author. This has always given Far&High a huge support not only among ordinary listeners but also from professionals and very famous DJs. For 4 years of its existence Far&High project has played more than 300 Dj sets in more than 20 countries around the world. More than 25 years of experience on stage allows them to be truly unique DJs with their own special taste and approach to working with the audience.
