Born as a platform for the ideas and sound of Berlin‘s Bar25, the same-titled label has made a name for itself internationally with its genre-overlapping music. The outcome of the last 12 years encompasses more than 400 released songs by magnificent artists alongside unforgettable showcases. With the „Greatest Hits“ compilation, we present you with our personal favourite tracks of the last years. Each song tells its own little story. Since their release on Katermukke, SoKool is playing themselves into the minds and hearts of electronic music and endless partying aficionados far beyond the borders of Berlin. With 50 releases on a wide variety of labels like Katermukke, OFF Recordings, Sender Records, Poesie Records, Heinz Music, their very own label Konzeptions and many more, their rank as Watergates "Yes" events residents is well earned.

Earlier music projects, different genres and colourful life itself are the inspirations for these two masters of their craft. This is exactly the kind of honest-to-the-bone lightheartedness reflected by their original tracks and DJ-Sets. To call “Just play it!“ a mere slogan isn‘t even coming close to the truth. To them, it‘s a way of life! And this is how all those terrific live gigs became a true journey, mesmerizing and great, taking you across Disco, Techno, House and Trance. As their international career takes off, they continue to fascinate with unconventional DJ-Sets. And People from cities like Vienna, Paris and Tblisi will keep Sokool very close to their fondest memories.

Anatomically speaking, “Lava Lava” grows from a sleek arrangement. But once you hit the play button the bite of the kickdrum, the seismic rumble of the bassline and the fulminant orchestral thrust of the instrumental samples work together like the cogs and gears inside a clock. Needless to say, the result is rather explosive and compelling - which goes for both the original version and the rolling big-room remix of Stephan Zovsky, who’s out on a mission to blow some minds again. And The Glitz don’t leave it at that: “Dandy Doorhole” is raising the stakes even higher. This tune exists between the perfidious boost of its bassline and the glittering showers of its open hi hats and hurls any dancefloor to the next level - a level oddly reminiscent of a spaced-out computer game. The remix comes from an old friend of 3000Grad: Mathias Kaden. This grand master of beats, bass and pressure delivers a version that is just as feverish and ecstatic, but that draws its energy from the irresistible groove that is the hallmark of this veteran producer.
