Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

In the evening, after sunset and when the half moon shined in the sky, she prayed on the terrace, facing the moon, as its dim orange color smoldered over the mountains. Again, she sang and praised God for the blessings she had in life. Moon was a good daughter. She worked with her mother in their small plot of land, from dawn until dusk. Bending all day to plant rice caused unbearable pain in her back. She never whined, even when blood-sucking rice worms pinned themselves to her legs. She would light a match to the worms, almost burning her own flesh, to get the bloodsuckers off from her legs. Moon still did not grumble; a smile never left her face, and she gladly worked and worked. After working until five in the afternoon, she took the family cow and goats to the fields for grazing, sang to them, and then milked them lovingly with sore hands that ached from working in the fields. She did all this and never complained. Her mother called her a sweet angel of God, her beloved sweeter than her soul, a saint. When Moon brought lunch for her, her mother would kiss her forehead, as tears rolled down her own cheeks. Mondul and Tim Smith live in the sultanate of Moon. This is their first offering for Shango Records. These tracks can give you the silver brightness of the Moon. Maris, Sinai and Ali Termos pay their respects to the great sultan of the skies!

A come back of Hidden Vibes music label with the concept of Web 3.0 music and blockchain tech. It required from us quite a long tine of new tech education, community building and music NFT marketplace development.  And here we are with our first ‘hybrid’ release. 

From now we are building all label’s future music development on the collectible spirit of music. That’s why half of the EP’s we release would be always limited in the amount of copies available for sale. And that’s what blockchain tech allows us to do today. That’s what we call “hybrid” release. The idea behind is to release EP when half of the tracks would go through standard distribution chains but the other half would be available only on blockchain in the format of music NFT with limited copies. 

The first drop is headed by unique and well-known Berlin based talent Cook Strummer. A music riot with Belgian roots famous for a rock’n’roll spirit live gigs. Since his debut album in 2018 on LOK Recordings, he has had high profile support from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Adam Port. For us this is a huge step to bring a big talent from physical world to web3music space. 2 tracks that go as music NFTs are incredible and are must to be collected by electronic music heads. 

Let’s bring back the collectible spirit of music back that allows us to unlock the potential of secondary market sales. Like vinyl editions but in digital format. With the new tech we have a chance to improve the incomes from music sales.

Influential DJ, producer, club and label owner Renato Ratier launches new moniker Ratier with brilliant new LP, ‘Ritual’.

Renato Ratier has very much shaped the Latin American house underground over the last two decades. He is the driving force behind the legendary D-Edge club in Sao Paulo. Renato is also the creator of Surreal Park in Camboriú, located in the south of Brazil, a super club spanning 92 thousand square meters with 6 dance floors inspired by the surrealist art movement—a blend of artistic experiences that extend beyond music. He has recently opened a new D-Edge in Rio de Janeiro as part of a huge new Cultural Center across multiple floors. It is a multicultural space that reflects his principles of passion, dedication, purpose, and authenticity. He has taken his sounds to all the world's finest clubs and released EPs on Get Physical, Gigolo, Kompakt, Light My Fire, and No.19 Music, among others. His debut album ‘Black Belt’ and 2016 follow-up ‘Youniverse’ took him to new heights and ensured he is now one of the most sought-after Brazilian
DJs in the world.

This majestic musical trip of Ritual opens with the bubbly deep house of 'Aura' complete with steamy vocals and cosmic pads. 'Mantra' is a collab with L_cio that journeys up amongst the stars on a warming bassline. There is more grit to the bass rumbles of the excellent 'Cerimonia' while jungle ambiance and bird calls keep things organic and continue through the bouncing house funk of 'Ventre' which is lead by a mystic and tribal
flute.

The fantastic 'Dialeto' is another house groove with rich sound designs and plenty of tropical charm from playful horns to charming melodies, and 'Profeta' is alive with wooden hits, shakers, and a killer bassline full of subtle funk that provides a great foundation for a preacher vocal. 'Terra' layers up loose Latin percussion and more hypnotic flutes, 'Jamila' has soulful vocal flair and lush strings, and 'Sopro' brings a chunky tech house with a colorful carnival atmosphere. The final trio of expertly produced and atmospheric sounds includes 'Abençoado' with its old school Chicago house monologue, the trance-inducing house of 'Bamboo', and freewheeling indigenous melodies and vocal chants of the sublime 'Ritual'.

The album will also be released in Dolby Atmos, which is an advanced audio technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. The main feature of Dolby Atmos is its ability to create a three-dimensional sound experience by adding a vertical dimension to traditional audio, providing a more immersive and realistic audio experience.

‘Ritual’ by Ratier is released via D Edge Records on the 22nd of December.

If all went according to plan you wouldn’t be the least interested in this text. Indeed the story of young Velten who leaves his hometown in the Black Forest to find an orderly apprenticeship in Berlin and who grows up over time – such a story wouldn’t be very gripping.Fortunately there is a club in Berlin that is called „Ostgut“ and people like Velten who like to make irrational decisions from time to time. The outcome is foreseeable: instead of sitting in the subway on his way to work, on a Monday morning, Velten much rather joins his pals in his run down flat for an after hour. Luckily these pals not only share their passion for sheer endless nights, but also start to organise event- series, open bars or turn a rundown Berlin backyard into a club. This is exactly the path that turned Velten within a short period of time into a DJ, producer and finally KATERMUKKE label boss DIRTY DOERING.

Philip Bader was born in Berlin and fell in love with electronic music in 1998. He already gave his DJ-debut in 1999 at the old Tresor club. Just spinning records was not enough so he launched „Max und Moritz“ with his friends. They organized quite a few parties in this constellation, the most famous event in Berlin is „Karneval der Verpeilten“ for sure. Altogether, their Sunday afternoon parties in the old Casino Hof called „Gelee Royal“ were the beginning of the legendary “sunday after” parties in Berlin.
In the end it was just the next logical step for Philip Bader to start producing his own music. And now he is only con- centrating on dj-ing and producing. His production debut was a release with Perry Roden on Monika Kruse’s Label Electric Avenue, followed by successful releases on Kindisch, Saved, Moon harbour , This and That etc. For instance, a remix for Raz Ohara on Get Physical and „Mumba Drums“ together with Sascha Braemer on Kinisch (sub label of Get Physical). Philip’s productions are characterized by his deep minimalistic Berlin techno style and the really creative and smartly placed vocals - he uses his own voice quite a few times. His DJ sets are like his productions: consistently deep, playful and powerful. Philip’s latest project is the label „Dantze“ that he’s just started with his friend Niconé.

It’s been 6 months since my last track, and I’m bringing all the experience and growth from that time into this one — a track full of dirty, mechanical, and chaotic energy. A deep, confusing bass blends with a striking lead, creating the balance and clarity the track needs.

The name and artwork were inspired by the vocal, which talks about Music Talk. The idea reflects how music can be a conversation that unites good and evil, contrast and harmony.
