Based in LA, NICA is a DJ heavily inspired by the culture and community of underground dance music. Her unique sound blends energetic basslines with deep, soulful rhythms as well as darker and more powerful tones. She has appeared on lineups alongside Mat.Joe, Amtrac, Durante and many others, and continues to make big waves within the electronic scene.

Space Stuff is my humble offering to the universe for aligning my creative path one year ago, culminating in the completion of this, my first musical production. 
It features all the elements that define my musical inclinations including deep, groovy vibes, percussion and weirdness: the vocal sample sourced from the Project Echo at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in the 1960s. It is a conversation between earth and a manned space mission. One of the men on the recording is Glen James. I hope it makes it to his family's ears one day.
