I am almost afraid to watch Fruitvale Station. I expect to be an extremely unpleasant person after viewing it.

Fruitvale Station is the fictional account of an all too true story of the murder of Oscar Grant by Bay Area Rapid Transit police. I recorded this episode of the podcast moments after seeing an advanced screening of the film on Wednesday July 10th with my friend and former college roommate Dahni-El Giles.

Dr. Michael Osterholm is the Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP)at the University of Minnesota. Deborah Brown is the Senior Researcher and Advocate for Digital Rights at Human Rights Watch. Greg Nojeim is the Senior Counsel and Director of the Freedom, Security, and Technology Project at the Center for Democracy & Technology.
