After roughly 16 months finally a new DJ mix. Inspired by the recent set at Heideglühen Berlin. All featured music was played at the club during the >3hr set. Upon re-recording I once more realised how rare it has become to be able to play such a set and how grateful and humble such great music leaves you.

Back 2 Old skool (Extended Mix)

Darlings, this is my first home recorded podcast since the mix for Fuse, quite a few years back. The Loser Records Berlin posse pushed me to record one and I happily surrendered. I played for them at the Wilde Renate at the end of February. It was one of the last gigs before, well, things unfolded.
The atmosphere at the packed club was outstanding and the boys and girls from Loser were lovely company, I felt very well cared for.

I am very happy with the mix. I hope you enjoy it as I do.

Loser Podcast 018 - Rozzo (Mountain People)

Zip is co-founder of the label Perlon, is familiar with the dancefloors around the world and famous for his tremendous minimal shifts within the 4/4 scheme. He has an illustrious musical history which began in 1986 as singer in the band Second Voice. In 1992 he moved to Frankfurt and joined the EBM band Bigod 20. After several releases the band split. In 1996 he got together with Markus Nikolai and Chris Rehberger to form the audio-visual project Pile. In 1997 he and Nikolai founded the Perlon label, on which he has released under the pseudonyms Dimbiman, Pantytec (with Sammy Dee) and Narcotic Syntax (with James Dean Brown). In 1999 the SuPERLONgevity compilation was released, featuring 'Bushes', a track that has since garnered chart-topping remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter and Fatboy Slim.

Zip also recorded with Peter "Baby" Ford and has appeared on Ford's label PAL SL. He is a regular guest DJ in clubs around the world and holds residencies at Robert Johnson (Offenbach) and the Panorama Bar (Berlin). He participates in the Narod Niki project, occasional collective laptop live jams initiated by Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. He has released tracks and remixes on Perlon, Playhouse, Force Inc, Novamute and others.

Barbara Preisinger has been an integral part of the Berlin club scene since moving from Munich in the late 90s.
 
Barbara Preisinger first began dj-ing in 1996 in her hometown of Munich and was playing regularly at the the green flokati room of the "ultraschall" club. in the Summer of 1998 Barbara left Munich for Berlin, where she started working as a freelance press and radio promoter for electronic music. In the years that followed she represented various labels and acts from the experimental music scene, ranging from straight clubsounds to electronic pop and indie-electronia. 

1999 saw her co-found the label ˜scape, together with Stefan Betke aka Pole, creating an open platform for the productions of Kit Clayton, Jan Jelinek, Deadbeat, Pole amongst many others. Before long she was a resident dj at regular scape nights in berlin and other locations within europe, japan and also further afield in north america. Over the years her musical preferences as dj have changed and developed continuously to House and Techno. Her passion is to play for the dancefloor, mixing kicking house and deep techno, all the while remaining open towards interesting and outstanding tunes that makes you move. 
Autumn 2009 Barbara Preisinger founded the 12inch vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE which is focused on organic sounding and diverse club music, with releases by Betke, Mike Huckaby, Baaz, John Tejada, The Mole, Dana Ruh, Losoul...
The label´s founding year also marked the beginning of the event series DEEP IN THE BOX with regular parties at Berlin´s Club der Visionäre, Wilde Renate, Ipse among other places. In September 2015 Barbara Preisinger moved DEEP IN THE BOX to the Globus floor at Berlin´s legendary TRESOR club, where she has been hosting her parties since then.
