Brigade Live I Fusion Festival 2022 I FKK Strand

Festival summer is in full swing, and we love every second. Since our set on Ibiza was a breezy, easy going pool-dance type of vibe, we planned to manifest a different flavor of RSS at beloved Garbicz.
To ease into the heat and dust, the first hour is a blend of entrancing, somewhat austere tunes. After that, there was no holding back and euphoria took over.
Much love to every single one of you passionate dancers who made these hours unforgettable.

To be thrown into the refreshing bliss of water.
Instead you went to an even hotter place, beautifully lit to draw you in. 
Just to find two guys joyfully nodding their heads and sharing sekt, smokes and fine selected tunes.

My ninth time as a guest, my second time as an artist, my first time on the "Seebühne"... 

Like many others before me, I would like to thank you for this special edition of the Fusion Festival. Even though my performance was mainly characterized by thunderstorms and rain, afterwards I was just happy how largely peaceful and respectful it was on site. With all the criticism and political ambiguity in the world, I was very worried that in the days during the festival it would not be art but conflicts that would be in the foreground - fortunately that wasn't the case. I was able to enjoy many great DJ/ Live sets as well as interesting panel discussions. 

Thanks to everyone who was there despite the difficult weather conditions. But also a thank you to those who sent feedback and listened to the set now. It inspires me so much to believe in my own sound and not chase trends

Garbicz 2024 | seebühne sunrise

hi everyone,
hoping this finds you all well.
i´d like to say something about this mix.
it´s been a very big task for me to do that. 
And i still wonder and i am not entirely sure
whether it´s been the right decision to put it out there. 
I´d like to explain that a bit:

For me the most important part in playing music in public is the interaction with the people on the dance floor, close by the decks, almost in reach, in eye contact with the dancers, to feel what the track does to me and to you, to get lost in it, to give space to that very intimate moment which feels more like a performance to me, where it actually can get very personal, even private.
It´s always an intensive experience for me that is shared between certain people at a certain time for a certain time length at a particular protected place which is guidanced by the music.
With a certain power that a good sound system - which can make 
the whole journey even more joyful - some great light as it has also such a big effect on the whole atmosphere.
it´s always a big challenge for me to have the courage to go on that trip because there is never a guarantee that we can hook, that a connection will happen. That this over the top feeling, that there is only music that moves and pulls our body around for couple of hours, does appear.

So playing records in a mix without all that – under entirely different circumstances, at home with obviously no one around – made that project in a way so special for me. 

i imagined to be with you while playing and that helped a lot. 

Thanks for taking time reading this, i hope you enjoy the music, it´s meant to be played „loud“, preferential on a nice sound system or through headphones to catch all the catchy sounds the artists used in their creations to make our heads and legs go spin.

On top of a sweaty, salty, crusted night we are moving downwards over the top because we thought it is going a little over the top to stay here especially to have your say on everything – that it is more than just a testimony, that the material of the soundwitnesses should also have a certain poetic style and over the top elaboration. the combined realization and emotion sensors shall be slid over the top end of the top segment of the sound system and fixed with screws. choreographic insufficiencies are in some places overlaid or even saved by the personal charm of revelation or it`s spouse kitsch and by pleasant and non-violent humour, of which however is over the top ten in some places: the magnificent persistency and superb devotion, which oftentimes borders on grandeur and sublimity – mostly most over the top! Unconditionally bound up with hypnotic and emotionally intense house blueprints as an absolute turn. (diashi)

Barbara Hofmann holds a residency in :// about blank. She is running nights for quite some time, she hosted radio shows and has organized all kind of events. Being part of collectives has shown her all sides of the meaning of self organized parties and reflects her passion for it. Pop was maybe the first strong influence that later driftet into punk and hardcore. The anarchic moment of straight repetitive drums were probably the initial moment to trigger her passion for house and techno which hasn´t stopped till today.
