Formed in 2007, Barbieshop are a Liverpool-based female a'cappella trio who specialize in delivering close-knit vocal harmonies which they deliver with cute choreography, sweet smiles and appealing attire! They perform a variety of styles; from The Andrews Sisters to The Trashmen, Duke Ellington to Mary Poppins, Radiohead to Bizet. Most of the songs are arranged by the girls themselves which contributes to their unique style & sound. Alongside singing at various diy homespun indie/jazz/noise-core nights, the girls also perform at burlesque evenings, theatres, art centres, corporate events, parties & weddings. They have also performed on steam trains, down laser beams and even shop windows! They have been invited to premiere compositions by contemporary composers Simon Thorne & Robin Hartwell & to guest with The Sixteen Tonnes, The Drellas, Kirsty Almeida, The Cold Ones and The Warrington Male Voice Choir. In the summer months the girls head off to perform at various festivals, their past credits including Rebellion Festival, Ladyfest and the glorious Glastonbury!
