'Hi Low' features rich driving textures; as well as euphoric and moody deep house vibes to satisfy ambient, uplifting and feel-good needs, which are the keywords for this beautiful and extraordinary release.

Allies for Everyone opens proceedings with his smashing original mix. Allies' maturity and musical development is in full swing, as he kicks off with a deep, hypnotic beat which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound floaty grooves and indie influences, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. The hypnotizing groove combined with Allies' smooth vocal work gradually ease their way to the breakdown before all elements combine to be unleashed into a rising melodic hook, intertwined with the infectious groove that fades in and out for maximum effect.

German sound maestro Mollono.Bass' interpretation opens proceedings on the remix front; he hits all the right chords from the word go. Known for his distinct and quality driven production style, the German's deep entry is intermixing with glowing drive, filtered stabs and stunning groove which beautifully leads into a drop full of tension and excitement, with the understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. He manages to keep the energy up, allowing the driving melodic house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. Essential stuff!

Returning for another outing are our favorite Dutch duo Mononoid. Their sound is a tough thing to pin down. They are such a unique act in the sense that their emotional creations carry quite a large scope. They are not afraid to explore esoteric or introspective themes and the end result is always a compelling one. Such is the case with their remix of 'Hi Low', which carries many of their most loved production hallmarks. From a warm, meaty low end to icy atmospherics and an effects storyboard to get lost in, there is certainly a lot to love. The main break being the high point, with the mood shifting from emotive to ominous with an effortless ease. It's something you rarely see and they once again pulled it off beautifully here.

Allies for Everyone's return to ICONYC, with the amazing support from Mollono.Bass and Mononoid, is a triumphant one. 'Hi Low' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Futur-E back to the label for his debut EP. As the Movement Recordings label manager, the Greek artist first appeared on the imprint in March of 2020 with a contribution to the 'Technical Progress, Vol.10' collection. With a career that now spans nearly a decade, Futur-E has compiled an impressive resume, landing releases on Mango Alley, MNL, Stellar Fountain and Traum, where his unique take on melodic house and techno has flourished. Now after starting the year with his first remix for Movement, Futur-E presents his long-awaited debut EP 'Angel' alongside remixes from Mononoid and Jonathan Reyes.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of 'Angel' is Mononoid. Residing in the Netherlands, Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy make up the Mononoid production duo. Upon partnering in 2011, a string of releases on Traum got their career off to a great start. Consistently pushing creative boundaries over the last decade, their unique take on electronic music has since been showcased on storied labels such as Beatfreak, Beat Boutique, Einmusika, ICONYC and Stil Vor Talent. Having most recently remixed Tash and Dousk's 'Future Funk' for Movement, Mononoid now make a welcome return with a powerful take on 'Angel'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original the Dutch residents lean closer to peak time territory, with a reworked groove and chunky rhythmic core.  An array of fresh designs strike at timely moments, as arps open up and atmospheres emerge, ultimately setting up an impassioned break and devilish finale.
