an old song i had lying around that i never really finished. was originally going to be part of "what's the farthest you can see?" but i never completely finished it. here it is as it was left, just mixed a bit.

This playlist features songs that inspire me in my music and that I’ve in many cases have had the pleasure to enjoy live. I think all of them has a roughness and honesty about them, that’s really suitable to the weather and mindset of Stockholm right now, where winter is long gone but spring never seems to arrive.  I see this mix as a journey that starts in a dreamlike state with the nostalgically haunting ”Come wander with me”, that then moves through delicate piano songs, some melancholic acoustic guitar pieces and evolving into more electronic soundscapes. The mix also features a premiere of Aisling Brouwer’s rework of Jakob Lindagen’s ”In the Machinery”. 
I’m imagining this mix working wonderfully while sitting in a remote cabin in the woods listening to this as the night slowly falls. 

Vargkvint is the musical project of Swedish multi-artist Sofia Nystrand. Her first full-length album ”Hav” is scheduled for release on April 5th through Piano And Coffee Records. She has on several occasions toured internationally, and will perform at Q3Ambientfest in Potsdam, Germany on April 14th.
