He is in the trenches, putting on a turnstile and holding the Defence with us.

There are no fictional characters here.

There are burned apartments, sirens instead of lullabies,

Children without answers and the question that echos from each line:

“What's my fault?”

This is the cry of a man who was not asked.

This is the voice of a country that is torn, but not broken.

I am Ukrainian.

I am God's child.

Про країну, якій обіцяли «мир» в обмін на беззбройність.
Про світ, що дивиться новини й називає це deep concern.
Про Бога, який не в небі —
він в окопах, накладає турнікет і тримає оборону разом із нами.

Тут немає вигаданих героїв.
Є згорілі квартири, сирени замість колискових,
діти без відповідей і питання, яке лунає з кожного рядка:
«У чому я винен?»

Це крик людини, яку не питали.
Це голос країни, яку рвуть, але не ламають.
Я — українець.
Я — Бога дитина.
