Bardo Records proudly presents a single from an upcoming EP Hypoxia, giving you a taste of what is yet to come!

The EP, produced by Seoul based producer Kustikov, received a massive support in form of a remix of two of the original tracks, Acid Binge and Bearing, envisioned and produced by an established Serbian DJ and producer, Marko Nastic.

A first timer at Bardo Records, Marko heavily contributes to the EP’s dynamic, carefully reconstructing Bearing and Acid Binge with his unique deep grove, long melodic pauses and euphoric drops.

Hypoxia EP is set to be released in a few weeks, featuring 4 originals and one more remix from Marko, so stay tuned!

We are proud to announce the Hypoxia EP by Kustikov.

Hypoxia, Kustikov's first EP on Bardo Records, is made entirely with modular synthesizers and explores a darker electronic sound that features fast paced acid bass lines and heavy drums, combined with deep melodic leads.

With this EP, Kustikov made a bold transition from some of his earlier work that was mostly in the field of electronica and downtempo, but nonetheless, Kustikov provides a strong statement as a producer and closely follows his style from live modular performances, which makes this EP sound energetic and alive.

A first timer on Bardo Records, Ben Tov takes us on a rhythmic journey with this fusion of melody, percussion and the gentle blues piano licks in the first part. In its second part, ‘Techno Blues’ forms into a true melodic techno track when it continues with shaking drums and high-pitched melodies, destined to leave any dance floor in the state of euphoria.

Sakura Tsuruta brings a fresh tone to the current music roster here on Bardo Records, opening up a new horizon for a label that always had an ambition to tap into various music genres.

The smooth and subtle melodic tones are carefully intertwined with soft percussion and comforting bass, all covered with a distant sounding synth lead and vocals.

Dystopia is a personal story of re-invention and change and resembles Sakura's challenges of her transition back to Tokyo, after living in the US.

For the very late first release of this hectic year 2020, Bardo Records welcomes the returning artist Ben Tov, who takes us on a path of bass, beats and their echoes, all with deep texture of melody. The meditative repetitions bring the listener back to the much needed place he’s been before, with reoccurring patterns creating a nostalgic loop of no escape.

The release also features a remix from another one of Bardo’s favorite – Kustikov. He brings a heavier, darker feel to the original, sublimed with the hypnotic atmosphere one can get lost into.

Welcome 2021! For this occasion we decided to bring on a very special guest to help with a successful beginning of something new and beautiful. He’s a newcomer on Bardo Records, but a seasoned DJ-producer - Christian Kroupa!

So for the first time in the label’s history, we proudly present a New Year’s Special, where Christian is bringing you two techno delights to properly kick off into the New Year!

With Vague Memory of You, he takes us back to a simpler time, using a softly melodic sound full of dream like phases of calm electronics, which let us lose ourselves in the moment. With Ensis he takes a more direct approach; its playful bass and percussion gets you moving on the spot, but it still leaves one with plenty of melodic rhythms.

Bardo Records was established in 2017 and is based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 

The label has a heavy focus on electronic music that covers all genres of House and Techno and it's working on establishing it's own and unique sound through picking out artists and producers of various musical backgrounds. 

One of the label’s main agenda is to also release on vinyl, tapping into the still lively market of vinyl DJs and music culture.
