"Time For Ocean Aid" is a protest song about the threats to the oceans and the environment in general. It is part of an ongoing "Ocean Aid" project of mine, the story of which is in my new book Saving Mother Ocean, published by Moon Books. I recorded "Time For Ocean Aid" at Verdelho Studio in Portugal and my friend Crum, formerly of Hawkwind, added piano and synth, which gives the song a space rock/psychedelic sound, as well as the acoustic folky feel.

"Mother Nature Rap" is an environmental protest song in the rap genre but with elements of synthwave too because Crum ex-Hawkwind added his synth and keyboard wizardry to the basic track. The song was originally recorded in Portugal at Verdelho Studio with Ricardo Verdelho as producer.

"Climb Through a Rainbow" came about in a moment of inspiration when visiting my friend Misty Ardouin's Nestlings Nursery in Cardiff in December 2019.  I recorded the song at Northstone Studios in Bridgend in March 2020 with Jayce Lewis as my producer.  It is a fun song for children of all ages, and I think it would be suitable for a childrens' TV series or film. The artwork is by Fay Brotherhood.

The Nightingale features backing vocals by well-known poet Mab Jones and is a protest song calling for a destruction of trees and wildlife habitats by developers. It makes reference to the trees that were felled in Sheffield. The song is included on my album Songs of the Now and Then on bandcamp. It was produced by Jayce Lewis at his Northstone Studios.

The Nightingale

Harvest Home is a love song of sorts that will appeal to Pagans and Druids, because it makes reference to the "time of Summer Solstice" and the sesonal Harvest Festival. It was produced by Jayce Lewis at Northstone Studios and is on the bandcamp album Songs of the Now and Then.

Reality Song has also be referred to as the "La-la-la Song" because it features a lot of la-la-la singing at the end. In live performances it always causes audience participation with people clapping along and dancing. Girl Singer is an acoustic song that looks at how the music industry can still be very much a man's world.  Cardiff poet Mab Jones sings the choruses, providing a balance of male and female vocals. The song was produced by Jayce Lewis and is included on the album Songs of the Now and Then.

Steve Andrews is an eclectic singer-songwriter from Cardiff in Wales but now based in Portugal. He is often compared with Neil Young. Also known as the Bard of Ely and Green Bard, he has a green beard. He has performed at the Green Man and Glastonbury Festivals, and was an MC at both events as well. 
He has been called a "Welsh icon" and is listed in Wikipedia as a "famous Cardiffian," and listed along with Shakin' Stevens as a "notable person from Ely."
His song You're a Liar, Nicky Wire was produced by Phil Moxham of The Young Marble Giants and fronted the Taffia EP on Crai Records. It was rave reviewed by the NME.
Recently Andrews has worked with Jayce Lewis as his producer at Northstone Studios. The two musicians created an album of 10 songs entitled Songs of the Now and Then. It is available on bandcamp.
Andrews successfully auditioned for Britain's Got Talent and was featured on the televised show.
