The mix features field recordings from a couple of day's stay in Casa Cosmos (an incredible piece of architecture tucked away on the Oaxaca coast), tracks played by the pool and while cooking, and voices from welcoming humans around the neighborhood as well as Japanese architect Tadao Ando (who is a significant influence in the area), talking about the bond between buildings and their inhabitants. Barely Vertical's journey into the world of music began at a young age. Growing up surrounded by various genres, his passion for electronic music took root starting with bands like Big Audio Dynamite, The Shamen, and more. Influenced by a diverse range of artists and genres, Barely Vertical developed a unique and eclectic style that sets him apart in a world of look-a-like djs.

Barely Vertical has an exceptional ability to seamlessly blend different musical elements into a cohesive and captivating soundscape. Whether its fusing deep house and dub techno or infusing melodic grooves with acid basslines, his sets are an exhilarating sonic voyage that keeps dancefloors packed and people dancing.

His primary love is to DJ and is known for his epic 4 hour daybreak sets. His newer live performances have melded downtempo and acid into a unique sound that can only be described as that point when the walls start to shimmer.
