Following standout releases like “So Long” and his timeless remix of Candi Staton’s
“Hallelujah Anyway”, internationally acclaimed DJ and producer Larse announces the launch
of his very own label,
Vash Recordings. Known for his signature blend of deep, soulful house and emotive grooves,
Larse takes the next step in his musical journey by creating a platform for artistic freedom and
carefully curated releases.
The label’s debut single sets the tone with a special collaboration: a captivating track
featuring London-based singer Obi Franky. Her soulful vocals pair effortlessly with Larse’s
warm and atmospheric production, offering a powerful glimpse into the sonic identity of Vash
Recordings.
With this new imprint, Larse aims to release music that reflects his personal vision –
independent, timeless, and globally inspired. Vash Recordings will serve as a home not only
for Larse’s own work but also for selected collaborations and projects that align with his
artistic ethos.
The first single will be available September 19th on all major streaming platforms.

This series of dynamic sounding, fully mastered and thoughtful edits comes from Detroit’s Gino (@ginoisland) who has a long history with Soul Clap, having first met Charlie and Eli at the Electric Forest in 2013, and becoming their first intern. Gino selected songs across all genres to rework for Soul Clap Records and YOU including recognizable early 00s indie pop hits, 70s AM radio classics, R&B / hip hop anthems, with some soul and funk. Each "Gino Edit" in the series chugs, shakes, and moves with beefy drum programming, precise musical rearrangements, and the powerful but sparing use of additional instrumentation. These edits are more than just DJ tools, they are reflections of Gino’s deep appreciation for bringing all kinds of music together for dancefloor enjoyment. We start today with the dreamy “It’s Automatic” which seems as ethereal as the original until you start to swing to the shuffle of Gino’s knocking drums. 

You can find Gino in Detroit since 2017 where he first made an impression at the storied venue TV Lounge at the time he became one of the club’s youngest residents, taken under the wing of former head honcho Mister Joshooa. His party and label Snack Time, started as a happy hour in 2018 serving home cooked food and featuring local legends on each weekly lineup.

Barely Vertical's journey into the world of music began at a young age. Growing up surrounded by various genres, his passion for electronic music took root starting with bands like Big Audio Dynamite, The Shamen, and more. Influenced by a diverse range of artists and genres, Barely Vertical developed a unique and eclectic style that sets him apart in a world of look-a-like djs.

Barely Vertical has an exceptional ability to seamlessly blend different musical elements into a cohesive and captivating soundscape. Whether its fusing deep house and dub techno or infusing melodic grooves with acid basslines, his sets are an exhilarating sonic voyage that keeps dancefloors packed and people dancing.

His primary love is to DJ and is known for his epic 4 hour daybreak sets. His newer live performances have melded downtempo and acid into a unique sound that can only be described as that point when the walls start to shimmer.
