This song dives deep into everything I carried growing up — the chaos at home, the anger I didn’t understand, the depression I hid behind a tough shell, and the battles I fought long before I ever stepped onto a battlefield overseas.

It’s the story of a kid trying to survive his own mind…
a soldier trying to survive a war…
and a man trying to survive his past.

Every verse is a reflection — looking in the mirror and seeing all the versions of myself staring back. The teenager who felt lost. The soldier who felt numb. The man who’s still learning how to let go, love himself, and move forward without the weight breaking him.
