Just two years on from its inception, @kindergartenrecords reaches its tenth release, a landmark occasion for the NYC label and crew founded by @masha-ny. Who better then, to celebrate this anniversary, than @drvmmy. The NYC-based producer was the first to release on the label back in May 2020, and the intricate chaos of his production work is emblematic of the label’s commitment to maximum propulsion on the dancefloor. With 'Double Stop', Drummy dials up the energy while delving into a deep, dark sound palette. The EP heaves and crashes throughout, playing with texture with a maximalist approach.

The track is made whole with its wonky yet warm pads, which synergize with the other elements to create a unique sonic palette.

@earlyreflex welcomes a remix pack from @alecpace, ‘Is This Future Now?’, a collection of reworks and unreleased materials from 2022's 'Future Now?' EP.

‘Lanes’, remixed by New Yorker @tomsobolikmusic, get its syncopated attitude emphasised through a rhythmic session built around jumpy beats and atonal synthesisers.

Mossambi makes his return to All Centre to follow up the stunning debut Resurf EP from the beginning of 2023. On The AI Told Me To, he delivers 3 more experimental techno exertions backed by a heavy-duty club remix from Holloway.

Reptate opens proceedings with otherworldly vocals stuttering over Mossambi’s distinctively inventive sound design. The track enters an off-kilter, compelling groove composed of deep kicks, growling subs and snippets of microtonal melodies, building up and playing out like an extra-dimensional take on dubstep.

The title track keeps up the momentum with deep kicks and shuffling hats, allowing a lush choral pad to stutter and proliferate amongst the percussive intricacies. The chord is manipulated, filtered and triggered in unpredictable patterns as the track progresses, keeping the listener on their toes whilst Mossambi holds down a transfixing groove.

Mossambi’s final track, Miscellaneous Vegetable Platter, slows things down to a hypnotic 110 bpm pace. A disorienting blend of scrambled vocals, fried digital synths and dubbed-out bass and chord hits are kept in check by steady drums, whilst a frenzied snare roll pushes and pulls at the track’s intensity as the track progresses, crafting an engrossing low-tempo workout.

Holloway translates Mossambi’s glitched vocals and heady sound design onto a ferocious four-to-the-floor groove. A warbling bassline bubbles underneath driving percussion, whilst a syncopated hard house siren brings the energy levels to a fever pitch.

Second Studio Goncourt’s release of the year begins with “Untitled For Now” that goes straight to the point, one vocal hook, bright synths, efficient drums and a prominent bassline.
“We Must” resonates with echoing vocals, simple yet convincing drums and bassline, kind of an ode to the post-dubstep era.
