There's a tree down stream,
where the free folk go to dream.
They lay down gifts and roses,
and the free man undergoes his

change, a rhythmic unfolding,
willful or otherwise, a brand new remolding,
of mind, of body, of spirit, of heart.
If they can't take it all from you, they'll just take a part.

The power of shadows grows in the dark,
the needs of the few have outweighed the many.
They told us to play and loaded the dice,
gave us a bargain but covered our eyes.

They need you more, than you need them,
They'll unsheathe a dagger and call you a friend,
and they say, "Why'd you go far?,
Didn't we give everything to your ma and your pa?

They died with smiles on their faces,
we buried them in silver and gold covered cases.
