The set culminated in quite a heavy downpour with most diving for cover... and the DJ booth getting very cosy while we dug out our best Rain anthems to close.

International series, Slow Mo Lounge, is back with their 1st international collaboration for 2025 with the super-producer and extraordinary DJ, YSE Saint Laur' Ant, from England’s East Midlands. 

A Grammy-nominated, non-smoking, 5'11", spotlight-avoiding music producer, crate digger, rare DJ but all-round music aficionado, YSE Saint Laur' Ant plays a neo-soul, acid jazz, jazz and 90s boom bap hip hop and hip hop-inspired set, drawn in a groove pattern ranging between 85 and 95BPM - setting a different but satisfyingly refreshing tone for the international platform for 2025.

He plays for a soulful genre-bending hour, followed by Slow Mo Lounge (South Africa) founder, Kongisto.

After 1 hour, Kongisto plays slow-burning 90s and modern-day hip hop trippy instrumentals, in between brand new slow mo, nu-disco and disco edits, that have made a debut in 2025, from some of the best genre-based producers around the globe.

Popular for his smash hit, ‘Warm Wind Brewing’ and ‘I Own The Boogie’ off his 2013 EP, ‘Beards’, YSE Saint Laur’ Ant’s credits include labels like Whiskey Disco, Editorial, Pressed For Time, Vinyl Only, Swedish Brandy, Lost My Dog, Ornate Music, City Fly, Pickpocket, and Blockhead Recordings (to name a few).

This man’s a giant producer, the productions are a testament to his craft.

The turquoise water is beckoning us to treat ourselves to another dip, to continue the dreamy cycle of swim, tan, swim, tan. We chill on our Barney Cools towels with little on our minds besides the dreamy tunes that are lifting the atmosphere, our gaze mesmerised by the waves nonchalantly lapping the shore.

The drinks in the esky are cold and the sand is warm, but the girls that have just plonked themselves nearby are hot - everything as it should be.
