With just about half of Australia doing the hard yards and locking down, we've snagged multi-instrumentalist and producer Jean Tonique to serve up a schmorgesborg of sun-drenched sounds to get our crew through the stay-home shenanigans going on down under.

Since 2010, Parisian producer formally known as Antoine Roux has been composing his very own unique poolside flavour drawn from influences of 70's funk, hip hop and house that has earned him top spot on the Cools mixtape bucket list for as long as we can remember. 

Fresh off the release of his latest single I Miss New York from his forthcoming 3-track EP with Warner Case dropping on July 30th, we're joined all the way from the city of love for an hour of luscious poolside grooves.

To celebrate our brand new collection My Island Home, we're joined by the mysterious @girlsoftheinternet for a groovy lesson in leisure all the way from the UK.

Coming onto the Cools map since we discovered their sophomore album 'Girls FM' late last year, the crew behind Girls Of The Internet have managed to make waves for their signature blend of soul, house and disco all whilst steering clear of the industry hoo-ha by maintaining their status as primarily a studio project (less shows, less worries). 

Hot off their soothing EP release 25 Minutes of Relaxing ASMR over the weekend, we're delighted to invite our crew all aboard the groove train for 60 minutes of poolside pleasure.

Leisure Club Mixtape 005 • Girls Of The Internet

Joining B.Cools for our latest mixtape is Baltimore-bred singer, guitarist and producer Life On Planets formally known as Liph. Part of the Crew Love family since the very early days, this is another one we're delighted to be ticking off the Cools Bucket List. 

Life on Planets is the story of a seeker; beginning his career making tracks in the warehouses of the underground Baltimore scene to making releases under Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap and Crew Love to name a few. Combining sultry lyrics with passion filled guitar licks and thumping beats, Liph melds r&b, bossa nova, reggae and house to weave surreal tales of wonder, bringing fresh awareness and consciousness to the dance-floor. 

Fresh off the release of Trippin with Brandon Lucas featuring the vocals of the man himself, it's time to introduce Life On Planets to the Cools mixtape alumni. Peep the full interview below live now on the blog.

Leisure Club Mixtape 006 • Life On Planets

Welcoming our latest guests to the Leisure Club Mixtape series, our long-time favourite funk-folks Video Age from the land of po-boys, jazz clubs and the melting pot of cultures, New Orleans.

Playing music together for the last decade and longtime friends from their early years coming up in the DIY scene, Ross Farbe (vocals/guitar) and Ray Micarelli (drums) began the project with their debut album in 2016 and have been crafting their signature early 80's synth-pop sound with experimentation and collaboration playing an important role in their magic-making recording process. 

Since catching our attention with their second full-length album Pop Therapy back in 2018, it's safe to say we're delighted to have them join us for a quick mixtape after regular inclusions in our Poolside Etiquette playlist over the years. 

We caught up with the dynamic duo on the blog to chat about life, being back on the road and emerging bands to keep an eye on. Stream the mixtape via our SoundCloud and peep the full interview below.

Formerly based out of Europe and recently locked down in Melbourne, LeBRON is known for his in depth mixtapes influenced by the energetic era of the early 80's and ranging across a plethora of genres. If artists like Breakbot, Joey Negro, Dimitri From Paris, Daft Punk, Purple Disco Machine, Crazy P and Folamour tickle your fancy, you're onto a winner here.
