Rerecording of a set i played in june 2021 on a small festival called "Welke 7".
Part 1 of my new series "Go to the Disco". Ranging from acoustic, nostalgic disco sounds, to modern energetic classics, Italo Disco to norwegian Nu-Disco. Included is everything, but it has to make you smile and wave your body in ecstacy.
Obviously this set isn´t perfect as i faced a couple of errors during the recording, but i had so much fun recording this, that i wanted to share it nevertheless. Hope you feel the same when listening. Especially during this cold and dark time of the year, this vibe is what keeps me going.

Part 1 of my new series "The Groove". These sets are best listened to during this magical period of time when the day ends and the night begins. Locked in a mysterious twilight, only the groove can let you pass into the darkness. Ranging from modern disco infused techno to guitars made into energetic and swirling atmospheres. From driving berlin sounds over bulgaria to the dark russian regions of music, every track carries a distinct signature and groove.

So yeah... everyday we had a small break from the djs and bands and played this song to encourage everyone to clean up and keep the whole festival area clean. 

Really love how the beginning turned out. Had so much fun recording ♥ love to the "schlechtwetterhexe" and everyone who sent me a recording for the track! ♥

Thank You! Jamelia for living inside my head, rent free, for almost a year now. Everyday the last and first thing i thought of was superstar, to the point where i was singing it without even noticing.

This was a really long and tedious project. I overhauled the song 3 times i think, but it turned out pretty great and is finally ready to be set free.

Wham! - Last Christmas (Barnow's Merry Christmas Edit)

Barnow, ein 28-Jähriger, dessen Herz in Köln schlägt, begann seine musikalische Reise bereits mit sieben Jahren. Angefangen mit Trompete, kam später Gitarre dazu und schließlich begann er, seine eigenen Songs zu singen. Mit 18 tauchte er dann in die Welt der Musikproduktion und des DJing ein.
In den letzten zehn Jahren hat er sich durch fast jedes Genre gespielt – von Ambient/Downtempo über Hip-Hop, Indie, Alternative, Disco, House und Techno – und schließlich seine wahre Heimat im Indie Dance gefunden. Sein einzigartiger Sound zeichnet sich durch treibende House-Beats, eingängige Basslines, experimentelle Klänge, nostalgische 80er-Jahre-Synthesizer und viel Herz aus.

Lebendig, mutig, originell. Barnow nimmt seine Zuhörer mit auf eine immersive, einstündige Reise zu den Wurzeln des elektronischen Grooves seit den 80er Jahren. Mühelos verbindet er Underground Tech House, Acid, Indie Dance und Techno zu einem tanzbaren und faszinierenden Set, das gleichermaßen überrascht und fesselt. Mit einem Gespür für das Zusammenspiel komplexer, ungewöhnlicher Klänge als natürlicher Hintergrund für treibende Basslines und kraftvolle Drums hält er die Stimmung locker und voller Spaß, ohne dass die Musik ihre energiegeladene Seele verliert. Mit einer Vorliebe für freche Überraschungen und unbändiger Energie kreiert Barnow Sets, die nicht nur herausstechen, sondern Menschen zum Lächeln und Tanzen bringen, egal wo er spielt.

1PODCAST - 003 - Barnow

Nach viel zu langen 3 Monaten und einigem Hin- und Her kommt nun doch die Aufnahme von uns beiden Karnevalsmäusschen in euer Soundcloud geflattert. 

Da wir am besagten Tag dann doch schon den ein oder anderen Setscho in unseren Bäuchen versteckten, gab es ein paar Schwierigkeiten mit der Aufnahme. Deshalb wollten wir das Set eigentlich noch einmal neu für euch aufnehmen.

Nun haben wir uns aber doch dazu entschlossen, die Originalaufnahme zu verwenden, weil wir beide so viel Spaß zusammen mit euch hatten und den Moment ungefiltert und echt teilen wollten. 

Nach einigem Gemastere ist sie nun also in ihrer vollen Pracht im Internetz zu finden. Viel Spaß damit ihr kleinen Racker. Wir hoffen ihr hoppelt genauso aufgeregt von A nach B wie wir an dem Abend.
