Den 11 mars släpps Baron Banes tredje album III som följer upp LPTO som gick rakt in på plats 32 på den svenska albumlistan när det kom 2011. På nya albumet III fortsätter Baron Bane utforska gränslandet mellan analog värme och digital kyla och med sina tio nya låtar kommer gruppen tillfredsställa din melankoli såväl som eventuella synthpoppiga behov.

Med de tre singlarna Fire Play, Hail To The Night och By The Waves redan utgivna från albumet har bloggar runt om i världen redan börjat hylla gruppen för sin egensinnighet. By The Waves hade världspremiär på amerikanska bloggen PopMatters.com som beskrev låten som ett “obehagligt, mörkt, elektroniskt pulserande moln av basfrekvenser och distortion som utvecklar en intensitet som inte släpper förrän låten nått sin sista sekund” och drog paralleller till Porcupine Tree och Massive Attack. Berlinbaserade bloggen Nordic By Nature kunde inte sluta lyssna på Fire Play.

Albumet är inspelat och producerat av Baron Bane i egna Sound Society Studios i hemstaden Gävle  och mixades av Andreas Ahlénius (Di Leva m fl).

Baron Banes förra album LPTO (2011) hyllades av brittiska Uncut som jämförde bandet med ABBA och Madonna såväl som Morrissey. Brittiska branschtidningen Music Week utsåg bandet till "Tomorrow's headline act". Flera singlar från albumet roterade på brittisk radio och den singeln Love.Cure.All blev även Single of the Week på japanska iTunes. Under 2012 hördes också singeln My Slow World i MTV-serien “Awkward”.
