Winter time in the Bay Area is contemplative, cold, and this year filled with downpour. This song is a moment in time, just as footsteps approach, pause, and then turn away.

I fell in love with an alien girl on the planet of Gorgon 3
She hugged me and she kissed me and she told me that
She missed me, and I told her I'd be back next week.

I traveled back to earth, half across the universe, for an 
obligation there I had to keep. Meeting with a man from a 
not so foreign land to supply him a demand for not so cheap.

When I finally returned I found Gorgon 3 had burned and 
one hundred million years had elapsed since I was here. 
This duration had erased her and her entire race and 
the only thing around were some fossils on the ground. 
What a waste, what a waste to be stuck in outer space...
