Anyway, we launch this baby with none other than Toronto UFO hunter, certified bad boy DJ, and good friend CAL-C. Cal comes correct with a ripper of a 4 track EP, BATH BOMB. Let's talk about the music now, shall we? 

A deep digger and wild style DJ in his own right, Cal brings you a grip of tracks that a tasteful selector can make use of throughout all points of a night time music party. Title track "Bath Bomb" is a blissed out, downtempo joyride that would make a perfect companion for either sunset or sunrise. "Morning Dew" evokes sounds of all your favorite early 90s Italian records, with a particularly euphoric crescendo. Hey man, did you say this guy was from Toronto or Torino????? Either way, molto bene!!!!!

As we move on, "Blurry Moon" is a slice of dancefloor perfection that sounds like something Jose Padilla would've made if he were from San Pedro instead of San Antonio. And lastly, the aptly named "Wine 69" (nice) is an M1 organ cruiser that's practically begging to be heard in front of an azure sea in balmy temps. Vamos a la playa!!!!

Cal has managed to encapsulate all the seemingly disparate sounds that we love into a focused EP that's extremely high on what we call "the vibe." Take your ears out for a drink with this thing baby!!! Music for real djs, not Reels djs!!!!

The A is heavyweight, peak time, disc jock business. Sarah O leads vocals to the A1, woozy, dubbed out, blissy joy ride that is the club mix of "Between Dreams." It would sound at home on all your favorite dancefloors, but especially those outside. The Great Outdoors baby: the biggest room there is!

Next comes the mighty Acid Mix of the title track. Cop now so you won't HAVE to Shazam it the next time you're hearing Mike Servito or Josh Cheon DJ!!! And the A side is wrapped up by 24 Hour House Music. A jittery proto house work out perfect for a night drive in YOUR city!!!

The B side gives us a more of a downtempo vibe, perfect for life's breeziest occasions. LA legend Benedek lends his considerable talents to all 3 tracks, while Steven Grady and Noah Triplett for the EP's final track - "Love Dub." All reminiscent of Ryan's work as part of Symptoms of Love, this side feels more like you're in a dream than between them.

Over the summer I signed up for the New York Marathon and while most might train to more aggressive music I found that a mellow mix suits me a lot better. I wanted to make a mix that reflected those runs by focusing more on flow than having the rarest tunes. I had a blast making it and was even able to listen to it during the big race this past weekend.
