DJ Ten - TranceFest 2021 Re-created

During the lock-down[s], I recorded a variety of live-streams to keep myself occupied. I wanted to give something back to everyone who was stuck in the house during some terrible times.  

I paid homage to one of my favorite DJs of all time: Tiesto. If truth be told I could have played about 10 hours of the stuff he used to play back in the Trance era, he was totally untouchable for me back then.

2020 End of year trance mix

He was Scotland’s hottest DJ who grew up in the West End of Glasgow. But Barry Connell’s life was tragically cut short by acute meningitis. Just days before his death in 2008, aged just 27, Barry’s talents were showcased in a Radio 1 Essential Mix. 

Barry, an engineer by day, died ten weeks before he was due to marry his fiancée in Florida. Barry was resident DJ at the legendary Inside Out club night at the former Arches venue in Glasgow and Goodgreef at Tall Trees. He also played at Es Paradis in San Antonio on the dance mecca island of Ibiza. 

At the time of his death, he was regarded as Scotland’s top club DJ.
