As i've been doing lately. I took all the original multi-tracks, pumped 'em up from 111 bpm then sliced, diced and quantized EVERYthing to a steady 118 bpm grid. This is my full 'directors cut' mix. I also did an edit that clocks in around 7 mins.
Love working with horn sections and real musician performances. Once again tons of work and it's kinda remixed old school (very few overdubs) with today's technology. Still wanted to keep the original feel of the live band yet make it 'simple stupid' easy to now mix in and out of in today's world.

Whitney Houston gets sucked back into 1978 singing a duet with Chaka Khan. I kept this at the original 114 bpm. As i've been doing these days slicing and dicing the original musicians performances so everything is 100% quantized and easy to mix in and out of. Pumped up the bottom end with a 2022 punchier kick and did very few overdubs. Added a conga and a couple of other ear candy moments here and there. Was a trickly and fiddly mix to do but once again, i loved every minute of it. Once again, remixed 'old school' with today's technology

"Tell It to My Heart" is a song performed by American singer, songwriter and actress Taylor Dayne, released in October 1987 as her first single from her first album of the same name (1988). The single was Dayne's first major exposure, and she soon became known for her up-tempo, dance-oriented music. The song was written by Chappell Music staff songwriter Seth Swirsky and Ernie Gold. Swirsky almost did not deliver the song to his publisher after he and his girlfriend decided it was not good enough.

The song debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 during the week of October 10, 1987, at position number 92, and entered the top 40 of the chart the week of November 14, 1987, rising to number 39 from number 43. Ten weeks later, during the week of January 23, 1988, the single peaked in the number seven spot. The song was present on the Hot 100 for 25 weeks. In the UK, "Tell It To My Heart" reached number three. It was ranked as the 23rd best-selling single of 1988 in the UK. In 1995, "Tell It to My Heart'" was remixed and re-released to promote Dayne's Greatest Hits package. This version climbed to number 23 on the UK Singles Chart.

Barry Harris was the first club DJ in the world to write, produce and perform a Worldwide Top 5 hit; “I Beg Your Pardon” by an act he named Kon Kan.
