Remember the '60's West Coast band Country Joe an the Fish?  This was one of their songs. The UJB recording was an out-take from the 'Down in One' CD.

Sad And Lonesome Times

This is on the last recording by UJB, made after Jeremy Sherman (lead guitar) joined the line-up, but  just before the band ended in 1999 - so  never sold or distributed.  It's one of my original songs from way back, and was used on the very first album 'Different Circles' (1980).

Not A Word

This takes me back to seeing Don Lang and the Frantic Five on Six-Five Special (who else remembers . .  .?). A favourite track of mine that we included in  the last UJB recording

Stagger Lee

A classic 'tramp-and-farmer's-daughter' tale.  One of the favourites in the Uncle John's Band repertoire.  This was one of three tracks recorded for an (unsuccessful) radio audition.

The Jolly Beggar

One of my favourite songs from the band's repertoire in the '90's.
