Cam, a young DJ from Valencia with English roots, promoter, and co-founder of Pink Rata and Raw Planet, which has given him the opportunity to be a regular in clubs like Oven Club and Spook Club.

Since the beginning, he has always had a personal and adaptable approach to each situation. His style always aims to connect with the space and the audience, creating dynamic and energetic soundscapes. His influences range from dancehall and US house to UK garage and breakbeat.

Sonic Almuerzo is born from one of the most sacred traditions of my homeland: el almuerzo valenciano. It’s not breakfast, it’s not lunch… it’s that perfect middle ground where time stands still.

This album is my tribute to those temples of esmorzaret, where vino with gaseosa fuels the conversations, cacaos and olivas set the rhythm of the morning and plates arrive loaded with oversized bocadillos. Every track is named after a legendary almuerzo spot in Valencia - places I’ve tasted, enjoyed, and shared unforgettable moments with friends.

In each track’s info, you’ll find the exact location of the bar along with its best bocadillo, so you know exactly what to order. If you ever visit Valencia, do yourself a favor: try one of these places and finish with a cremaet. You’ll thank me later.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?

It took me several days to complete: one to prepare it and another to record it. The recording was done in my studio at Lunatic, Barcelona, and it was recorded using an Allen & Heath Xone 96, two Technics SL-1210 MK5 turntables, and two Pioneer XDJ-700 players.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?

The idea behind this podcast is to show a less serious side of myself than what I'm usually known for, always keeping my musical identity clear and telling a story — one that progresses and is focused on the dancefloor. included tracks by artists who have been very influential to me, as well as from friends and even a piece produced by myself.

3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…

My main project at the moment is T.S.O. (The Sugar Orchestra), which I share with my friend Javier Sukoshi. Together, we run Peim Records and Reverse Records

4. Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?

For me, Dance, Shake, Swing is about community, quality events, and a project led by close friends.
