Horizon Chase Main Theme Top Gear Re - Imagined

After several shows we decided to try something a bit different. When it became obvious that the Winter version would stop people socializing immediately, we tried coming at it from a different angle..  Taking the melody in a more acoustic direction, and informing the crowd that they had several minutes yet before the show. The monk was growing weary of trying to mime out 5 minutes of stage time, and wanted to take a few shows off. Also it gave me a chance to add a little bit more of an upbeat ending as we were introducing comedy shows mostly.

When I was working on the Race#2 music, I kept thinking about how I felt when I first saw Nino Megadriver playing the original Top Gear music. I had been moved to tears seeing this crazy guy with a Sonic The Hedgehog guitar playing this insane arpeggio. I was astounded that someone could actually play it ! Later on I'd seen videos of Megadriver performing it in front of an audience and heard the crowd going absolutely nuts and singing along. It was very moving. It's every composers dream seeing all those people happy from your work ! So as I was writing Race 2 I closed my eyes and thought of Nino on stage, wrote the craziest guitar solo I could, and thought to myself... "Let's see you play this one then....."  :)
