Welcome to Part 2 of my extended set from Labour of love 2013 Canada's legendary summer's end event. Part 2 of my set focuses on my DBR style of mixing. I have a deep passion for techno, tech, deep house, garage, and underground sounds. This part of the night was magical as thousands remained to shut down the venue while listening to beats.

"Audiotistic" is a mix of the tracks that I selected for my birthday event at Audio SF on April 3rd. That’s why the the tracks are at least 2-3 months old. No laptop, no sync button. I picked out almost 30 tracks for my set. Of course I didn't play all of these tracks at Audio, since I only played an hour, and there are also some tracks that I played that are not in my original tracklist or in this mix.

For the event I brought in Sergio Fernandez of Spain and owner of Insert Coin Records, who has been one of my favorite producers since I began DJing 2010. He put down an amazing set and show, as did the supporting DJs: Scottie E, Jill McDonald, Lindsey Herbert, Frankie Jr., and Dean Samaras. Thank you everyone.

This mix is a little longer than my previous one, but once you set aside an hour and 45 minutes to listen to it, I'm sure you'll have no problem staying tuned in, especially if you love Tech and Techno.  I start off with some catchy Tech tracks, and move right into some heavier bass Techno, then back out to Tech, and then ending it off with a deeper sounding Tech. I have more Tech than Techno in the selection, to stay in line with Sergio's style of amazing Tech, as he played at Audio. “Other Worlds” was inspired by a new collage from Sebastian Wahl , which we brought to life with the help of Black Lake Media. The collage shows portals emerge and unfold and evolve within and around a picture frame… a magical gateway, like the wardrobe in The Chronicles of Narnia.

On a sunny day in Brooklyn I sat down with @DorfexBosMusic to write a piece of music to go along with the visuals, and the ideas just came pouring out. We finished the song in 24 hours flat, with various instruments and sounds mapped to various details and dimensions of the various worlds within the collage.

 Hailing from the Netherlands, Bart van der Meer - known as Bart B More - has been a constant factor in the international electronic dance music scene for many years. His love for DJing and producing has taken him to every continent on the planet, leaving his audience with something to remember - or not to remember. 

Bart B More's genre-bending style has helped him to become one of the most renowned and respected electronic music producers today. He steers away from a traditional production formula to help create his own signature sound: A fusion of deep techno and heart-pumping electro, with an unusual swing in his drum patterns. His eclectic mix of synths, unparalleled sonic range, hard-hitting drops, and heavy bass lines have helped him to create a distinct and original style. The ability to make each beat, synth, and drop flow seamlessly together in his sets, has made Bart a well seen guest at events all over the globe.

Bart does not discriminate against mainstream and underground music, and prefers to draw inspiration from anywhere and everywhere: "The limitations and borders a genre can imply sometimes kills creativity in the producing process, and that's something artists deal with. I try to stay away from that mind frame, and just create how I feel." His non-commitment to any specific genre and ever-changing tastes make each one of his shows a whole new, fresh experience: "Every set to me is a challenge to entertain a crowd, to bring forward my musical taste but also read the crowds mood. And if that's the same thing, that's when I love what I do the most."

In 2008, Bart found a new challenge in his decision to start his own label, Secure Recordings. Since then, the imprint has been an outlet for Bart to release his own music as well as share his various tastes and musical range. By creating Secure, he's able to showcase not only his own style, but also give new artists a platform to release their music. Bart is a firm believer in supporting new and up and coming artists.  In establishing the label, he's been able to give them a chance to make their mark in the industry. 

In addition to Secure Recordings, Bart has had the opportunity to release many of his tracks with some of the industry's top labels: Spinnin' Records, Boysnoize Records, OWSLA, Relief Records, Sound Pellegrino, Fool's Gold, and Trouble & Bass - allowing him to reach an even larger and more diverse demographic, thrusting him into the spotlight of many devout electronic dance music fans. 

Along with collaborating and working with major labels in the business, Bart has also written and produced for the likes of Rita Ora and Example, as well as remixes for Katy Perry, Cee-Lo Green, Tiesto, Chris Brown, Wiley, Galantis, Martin Solveig, Bingo Players, and Peaches amongst many others. 

In the future, Bart B More hopes to continue to have a key role in keeping dance music forward thinking, innovative, and open minded.
