Music and lyrics written, played, sung and recorded by Bart Brugman, somewhere in the late 70-ies/early 80-ies at his home studio at the 2e Jacob van Campenstraat in Amsterdam. This is the 1st track that I recorded with my (then new) Roland Jupiter 4 synthesizer (and effect pedals), using the Boss Dr. Rythm machine, as well as two 2-track tape-recorders, dubbing one take to the other and so forth. It took me one evening to compose and record the music.

One day in the early 80ies I borrowed a TAMA drum kit from Marcel Lee, I was allowed to use an empty renovated appartment (great acoustics!) from my (late) brother in law Henk Janus and drummed a few tracks without any music in my head or without any musician around (just my wife Margreet), only using 2 mikes and a tape-recorder. Later on I added the music, lyrics, keyboards and vocals and Roy van Oost played the bass and the guitar. We called ourselves "The Beauty & The Beast"!

I am a huge Steve Hackett fan and I especially love the end of Shadow of a Hierophant from his first solo album Voyage of the Acolyte. As an hommage I recorded my own twisted version of this masterpiece.
