BPHL started in late 2019 to create music amid the global pandemic's restrictions. Both members, with backgrounds in hardcore and metal bands and a shared interest in dark electronic music, formed a new project. Influenced by DAF to Swans, and named after a tragic gas leak disaster in India, they secluded themselves in a room full of synthesizers, crafting a soundtrack for witnessing the world descend into depravity.

"DJ’ing electronic music is new to me compared to producing and performing, so this was a fun try. The mix is broader than BHPL's usual, incorporating different influences and recent discoveries. Recorded on a Friday evening with a few beers, it’s spontaneous and unfussy. While BHPL’s new material leans darker, this reflects our love for 80s electronics, EBM, and Italo." - BHPL

Ancient Methods, founder of the Persephonic Sirens Label, has cemented his status as a steadfast presence within the electronic music scene for nearly two decades. His venture embodies an unyielding and resolute passion for otherworldly, multifaceted music, underpinned by his distinctive "pitch black techno war funk." Firmly grounded in the conviction that innovation arises from dismantling barriers, his DJ sets, live performances, and productions are a perpetual force of nonconformist renewal, devoid of ingratiation to fleeting vogues. His performances and collaborations with Regis, Orphx, and Cindytalk have taken him to stages worldwide, from ADE to Tresor.
