Bar Musica keeps us dancing this summer with a fantastic nine track compilation. It features a wealth of talent including Bartolomeo, Carebears, Umberto, Francesco Mami, Liro and others and it makes for a vital collection of tasteful house sounds. 

Bartolomeo - Ognidove kicks off with a slick minimal groove and crisp claps that get under your skin and make you move. Carebears - Billy's Fantamoney is a bumping minimal house cut with baby pads that take your mind on a wander and Like to Think from Valeria Croft and Lights Electronika then gets spaced out and late night with its jazzy chords and soft pads. 

The lush and stripped back deep house continues on the colourful, none-lit A New Way (Of Me) from Umberto and Jesse Marcell's Mineral Minds is pure house funk with rubbery drum lines and slippery sci-fi synth sounds. 

Elsewhere Francesco Mami drills down with some wonky tones and shuffling drums and Snipped from _____ ups the pace a little with a driving cut perfect for the dead of night. J Paraguai - Materialism gets wonky with tin pot percussion and nice off grid loops all underpinned by warm sub bass. Liro then closes out with Uyuiii, a freaky and alien minimal house cut with style to spare. 

Bonus Track - Ahoda Psi - Pattern One. A great tool for the dancefloors. 

This is classy and paired back house music for those in the know.

01. Bartolomeo - Ognidove (Original Mix)

Cult underground crew BAR Musica return with more gold, this time from label head Bartolomeo with two original tracks and a super remix by Romanian wizard Priku.

Italian Bartolomeo has studied classical music all his life and brings his love of jazz, blues and plenty more to the electronic world. He has released on key labels like Claque Musiqe and Crosstown Rebels but saves this one for his own imprint.

Opener Castellammare is silky and seductive, with slippery synths and stripped back, rubbery drum programming really making for a hypnotic vibe. It is perfect late night dancing material with bumpy grooves while Proprio Tu is an inviting sound world of modulated synths, hiccuping drum loops and freaky vocal sounds. The devil is in the detail of this one which is designed to seep into your brain and stay there. 

Closing things out is cult favourite Priku, who ups the ante with his corrugated drum lines and scattered synth effects on a fantastic remix of Castellammare. It's a heady track that oozes class. 

Here are three high class, high quality house tracks for the ones who like it deep and heady.

Playing the piano is a real obsession, Bartolomeo has studied classical music all his life. He's been touched by all kinds of music, from jazz to blues and new wave. Exploring electronic music has been an obvious choice and has come naturally to him. His productions have an instinctive musicality and a meticulous attention to detail. The same sensibility is in his dj sets and his touch is  delicate and decisive at the same time, just like playing the piano.
