Hi, I'm David Barton Harris. I was born in Boone, NC, where I started playing guitar at 12. When I was in high school I had a band named "For Granted" and we recorded a CD called "killer boots, man." I went to college in Chapel Hill where I majored in music composition and had a band called "The Makings". We recorded a CD in Robert Sledge's home studio. I also wrote a musical called "Oedipus Rox!" the soundtrack to which was recorded in UNC's Hill Hall before it was renovated. In 2005 I moved to Los Angeles to pursue comedy. Now I perform weekly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Sometimes I'm on TV. I still write/perform/record music and I'm trying to get in the habit of posting that music here on Soundcloud.
