We are over the moon to have close friend and up coming talent Carmen Electro joining the long list of contributors on the Ismcast. Originally from Finland but now based in Berlin, Carmen has been doing some serious damage across both the local and international scenes having played recently for the HEX collective at Anomalie. We see a bright future for the almost entirely vinyl based DJ.

Carmen brings us just over an hour of old school techno and trance to get your bodies moving into the weekend.

Italian imprint Evod Music has been a key source of quality underground techno, not afraid to experiment and break new ground having welcomed the likes of Kwartz, Marcelus, Zadig, and Temudo to its roster.

Jonas Kopp has been an artist of great inspiration to many, and appears to be someone who enjoys venturing out into new corners of sound production and forging interesting ideas along the way. His latest split LP Fear Factory Failing is a distinct demonstration of just this, with a back catalogue that can be found on high profile labels such as Berlin’s Tresor, Oscar Mulero’s PoleGroup, Ellen Allien’s BPitch, Bas Mooy’s Mord, and Chris Liebing’s CLR, he is someone who continues to add to his extensive legacy.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Watching the Past” with its melancholic vibe. A raw, low-end groove, there’s a wealth of clashing layers, creating an at times disjointed feel of dystopian funk, but really it’s an abstract and perfectionist approach to contemporary techno with an exploratory edge.

The recent collaboration of label residents Alpha Particle Assembly and shadoW Work comes back remixed by two established techno artists. The hypnotic re-works of “Against All Odds” and “Spectral” bring industrial feel to the dancefloor with their distorted kicks and metallic tops.

From Lisbon, DJ Dextro delivers an atmospheric remix that is sure to hypnotize with its flangery synth layered on relentless drums, elevated by perfectly blended sparkly tops.

Berlin-based Oliver Deutschmann brings masterfully crafted grungy industrial variation, with its high energy 909-esque metallic drums, interlaced with hypnotic synth and menacing dark low-pitched vocals.

‘Trust, Intimacy’ fuses her top tier production skills with her own vocals for a unique and introspective four tracker. ‘Nachalo’ is the perfect intro track while the title track and ‘Transformed’ are destined for peak time madness.
