Yela’s upbringing in England exposed him to a rich and vibrant music scene, igniting his passion for electronic music. His tireless digging through vinyl collections in search of abstract and unique tracks has allowed him to curate intriguing sets, in which he is known to explore the interconnectivity between a variety of different genres, tying his selections with elements of a tribalism, intricate percussion and a touch of cinematic flair. Six years ago, Yela returned to his hometown, Antwerp in Belgium where he recently co-founded the musical passion project Oridoo together with Hofmann. Over its first editions Oridoo has featured some promising upcoming local & international DJ’s behind the turntables and aims to deliver authentic electronic musical experiences from the heart.

„In the heart of the once-vibrant metropolis, now reclaimed by creeping vines and golden grass, stood a relic of the tribe’s most sacred gathering place. A circular amphitheater. When the tribe had thrived, this place pulsed with life. At dawn, they assembled for the meditative harmonies of ambient soundscapes, nightfall was their time of celebration. House music rose from the circle like a living entity, joyful yet introspective, designed to celebrate unity without drowning the senses.“

Hailing from the beautiful city of Tbilisi, Zaqaria made his first marks on the world of electronic music in the form of a YouTube channel. Uploading rare finds, peek bangers and weird rhythms from all genres alike, the self-named channel slowly rose to cult status among us Basement members and beyond our small but dedicated scene. Many tracks were discovered via his curation and eventually played out at some infamous parties we had the pleasure of sharing with you. We are more than happy that we could reach out to him and convince him to join the tribe of Aural Language to deliver an hour+ of house music extravaganza. Cherry after cherry, picked with an eye for detail, is what’s giving this recording its warm feeling while still keeping energy levels up throughout the whole stretch.
