surface_element (he/him), born and raised in London, cut his teeth behind the turntables after his move to Manchester 8 years ago. Physicist by day, purveyor of underground music by night, he combines his passions for record collecting and underground club music. He has a knack for physical, propulsive beats that intertwine with syncopated grooves, and is finding new inspiration from the layered, hypnotic sounds of the techno scene in Japan where he now lives. 
surface_element has played at the DBA for Entangled Ramen and is now making a name for himself in Okinawa.
